They do have an amazing variety of stock, and I’ll nearly always find what I’m looking for at a great price whether it’s stationary, screws, fixings for small DIY jobs etc. Just don’t ever, ever, go there on a hot day as you WILL die of the extreme heat that builds up in this place in the summer months. It’s unbearable. I don’t know how the staff endure it as I want to faint about 5 seconds after walking in!

I recently visited The Range in Dorchester and unfortunately, my experience was not a great one. The checkout process was incredibly slow and frustrating, and the staff seemed unhappy and uninterested in their job. The shop floor was messy and disorganized, with items in the wrong places and no prices on some items, making it difficult to shop.

To make matters worse, returning items was a complete nightmare. The process was confusing and the staff seemed unprepared to handle returns, leading to further frustration and wasted time.

While it is convenient to have The Range located locally, I cannot recommend this store due to the poor customer service and disorganization. Overall, I would give this store a two-star rating.

Disinterested staff. Long queue built up. Several staff walked by slowly, not looking up. Everything seemed too much. One lady on the check out apologising. Then joined by a man who obviously didn't want to be there. Disappointing. Possibly a culture passed down from above?

Pretty good selection of all sorts, always a good offer to grab. A really nice large arts & crafts selection including brushes, colours, art paints, stencils, paper and paper art supplies, etc. Also lamps, homeware, really nice decoration like pictures and home accessories, pet supplies, kitchen & garden bits, table ware. Medium quality range, sometimes some favourite brands, but surely always a very good bargain to grab! Worth a visit!

If I could give this store and its staff a lower review then I would. I’m disgusted and appalled that no one would let my 3 year old use their toilet in an emergency. I was met with rude intolerable people that denied having a toilet at and showed absolutely no compassion whatsoever.

I was very disappointed as I needed to use the toilet and this store never had any public toilets. I have an urgent to use card as I have a medical condition and showed it to three members of staff who still refused me access to a toilet. Never before in any stores have I been refused. I'm not infectious or have any diseases, just a medical condition that requires me use of a toilet. Short of peeing all over your floor we had to leave and go to a car park to find a toilet. Having spent nearly £90 in your store I was very disgusted and think I need to advertise on my social media telling people about your staffs treatment of me.
