After a 4 day sail we arrived at 0730 in the morning. Tired but excited we were welcomed by Tony who said ‘you cant stay here and you probably won’t find anywhere in Falmouth’ - he seemed pleased. We asked if we could use the loos before we moved and were told that He would need to charge us for a short stay ????. Don’t stop. Go to Falmouth … they were lovely and welcomed us.

The prices like all other UK marinas are crazy mad. Doesnt like the UK yachting visitors from foreign countries who can spend money on the shore? With prices of € 75 for one night to sleep on your OWN boat and your OWN made up BED doesnt sound like a warm welcome isnt it?

Port Pendennis is a mixture of things. Its not quite a marina, It's not in a great place being adjacent to a naval shipyard. It's facilities although adequate are a long way from the pontoons. They charge Premier prices for the berths and add exorbitant £7 extra for electricity per night.
We have just sailed all the way round Britain and have sampled the good and the bad. Pendennis is not worth the money they charge.

Our most recent visit to Port Pendennis Marina was, as ever, a delight. We were sailing at the height of the season and finding a visitor berth anywhere in the region was tricky. However our first call to Lynn reassured us that whilst nothing could be guaranteed we were in with a reasonable chance of being allocated a berth. We were on the "wait list". Lynn called us later on to confirm that we would in fact have a berth; the crew were delighted. In our experience not all marinas return calls. Mark & Lynn run an efficient and accommodating marina in a friendly manner. There is always a wide range of vessels berthed at Port Pendennis - testament to its popularity. Thanks Team Port Pendennis. We look forward to returning....
