I have been a carer for my mother for almost 20 years. She is now a pensioner and has been attending this surgery for as long as I can remember. Truth be told it has had its challenges like all other NHS Servies, however over the last year the service received from every area of this practice has been exceptional.

Fewer attempts needed to get through to speak with reception staff and it is evident the right decisions are made by them when allocating same day emergency appointments or suggesting alternatives.

Requests for supporting letters and updates are handled very swiftly from the staff dealing with these requests. The doctors and nurses (some appear as though they are new(ish) to the practice are outstanding. To name only a few of these individuals:

The level of care, compassion and empathy demonstrated by Dr Ojechi is outstanding, an absolute pleasure to deal with both on the phone and in person. The definition of a perfect GP.

Similarly Dr Mustafa who I understand is a locum at present was exceptional, she contacted wheelchair services there and then and started the ball rolling. Was not hesitant at all to look at my mothers other health issues she was suffering from and prescribed the necessary medication.

An emergency appointment was also given with Emma NP. Once again like her colleagues truly went above and beyond in really taking the time and effort to understand my mothers history as she has not dealt with her in the past.

For me something has really changed for the better at that practice. I spoke briefly to the practice manager to pass on my thanks for having such a great team. The whole practice is absolutely living up to its published mission and vision statement. Keep up the good work!

I don't live too far from the surgery and have been for appointments few time. All I will say is the nurses are sweet and doctors sometimes. Buy they are very unorganised and tje reception staff have always been super rude and mean when you have to repeat yourself. The doctors always book a phone call appointment but barely ever actually ring you and make an excuse whe you call them out.

Nit reliable at all and very rude reveptionist who can't take accountability when she makes a mistake,rather she makes excuses and turns the blame on you.

Has never gotten better..infact it’s gone worse!!! Honestly hands down the worse surgery ever!!! You phone them firstly and you’re on the phone for 5-6 minutes before u get through to them and secondly when you do get through they cut you off! Absolutely disgusting

negative experiences as well as set out a warning to anyone else suffering from anxiety- DO NOT EVER go near this place
- Hung up on twice
- Same receptionist was extremely rude, I was very new to going to the doctors by myself etc so I asked a few too many questions and she had a horrible tone and decided to hang up on me. She also stated that “Maybe I wouldn’t be so anxious if I took my tablets”.
As someone who suffers from alot of anxiety this specific receptionist really set me off, especially with her comments and seemingly no knowledge about mental health whatsoever
- I have had to basically fight to get my medication, although diagnosed with anxiety in november of 2022, when moving to this practice they seemingly did not believe me?. again, considering I suffer from anxiety you would think a more understanding approach would be needed, but no, time after time I had to basically beg to get my medication.
- you will never get an appointment unless you get a receptionist who decides you are worthy of one, some go out there way to help, some are nasty and tell you to just call back at another time and there will be spaces free (never ever is)
-Worst experience so far was a doctor telling me on the phone he would have me

200+ calls for appointment but always the line is busy and incase they receive the call they rudely say sorry but they dnt have any appointment left. Dnt know who are those lucky once who get the appointment. Even if we say we will complaint they are replying to go ahead as if they dnt even fear from anyone.
But yes the doctors are really very good.

1 star as I can’t put 0. Would not recommend! First of all it says they open at 7am online which is incorrect. Lines open at 8:30am, secondly, I spoke to a woman around midday on Tuesday 20th, who was plane rude, i didn’t demand an appointment just wanted help on how I can go about doing this even if it’s tomorrow and was just told that if I’m that unwell I should just go to the walk in, then proceeded to say goodbye, couldn’t wait to get off the phone. I wonder if they train their staff to be this rude? When I tried ringing at 8:30 today you don’t even get put in a queue, it just says user busy and you have to keep ringing. When I eventually got through they hung up! It took me 196 calls to finally speak to someone who arranged a call back appointment. I never got the call back so I rang at 5:45pm and was told they had my old phone number, which they didn’t bother checking in the morning, and I was bluntly told I am not guaranteed another appointment and I’ll ‘just have to ring back in the morning’ this will be the 3rd day of trying to get an appointment. Not a great look for somewhere you rely on when you’re unwell is it? Borderline useless, if you care about your health you will go elsewhere.

The worst medical practice I have ever tried, getting appointments is almost impossible,keep trying to call 100 times with no answer , emergency appointments are always full since I was registered, very very very disrespectful receptionist, but doctors and nurses are nice however if you are lucky enough to get an appointment.Overall very bad experience .. very disappointed!
I read the reviews here but couldn’t believe it is that bad but to be honest it is even worse.

Early morning making appointments has very limited time set. Never can get through as 99% time line keep showing busy. Also online e consolt link never works after answering to many questions. Wasted... so stupid if no one can get thorough because early morning appointments line busy. Also some time when you get through they hang up automatically after selecting right option. I have baby son at home who needs seen to but obviously time will tell wether when i can get through to them. And they will see my son.
