A beautiful church. A truly godly place. Would go there to worship if I lived in Clun.

St George's Church in Clun is a mix of 12th century foundations, nave and porch and 19th century restoration to much of the rest of the structure. The tower features the characteristic timber double pyramid roof.
The interior is impressive, with large stone columns, ornate rude screen and beautiful floor tiling. The wooden panels in the chancel and the pulpit itself are very intricately carved.
There is limited parking nearby, and steps up to the lychgate.

Very old building, Normanish I think. Churchyard described as "Purposely grown as wild meadow" mmmmm. Church is interesting though; put it on your itinerary if you can.
