We booked a meal for my wife's 60th Birthday. We had an amazing meal, salmon rice noodle poke bowl & Mexican chicken within a great atmosphere on a beautiful sunny evening. There's a good choice of food & drinks and sat outside in the garden, service was excellent. We had our dog with us and walked around the beautiful village and up the hill overlooking the church. We would highly recommend The Bell Inn Chittlehampton.

Great traditinal pub right in the centre of the village. Food was very good with large portions. Well worth a visit if you are in the area, but I would book as it is popular

A nice local pub with good beers on offer, though the food was a little average.

Staff -
The staff were friendly and nice on arrival as we asked for our booked table and took out first round outside. The only grumble I would say was that I had to wait to be served once as the barman served two locals before me, even though I was first. Though let's face it, they drive more value than I do, so it's not a big issue.

Food -
The food was okay, with a nice selection of classic pub food and a creative burger menu with a build your own option.
I had the steak, which was good, and there was a lot of chips and peas, but not the best (very passable though).

Location -
The pub in general is a nice place, though a little tricky to get to. Nice beer garden and plenty of space around tables etc. Inside. It's a popular pub for food it would seem, so expect plenty of people inside and out.

No objection to taking my Rottweiler with us to dinner, Lively atmosphere, food was amazing! Good choice of Ales and cider, which suited us. Well cooked, nice pleasant friendly staff, we shared Nachos to start, honestly didn't want to spoil main such a large bowl, had to leave some, we both had burgers, served on very large over flowing plate of chips, onion rings and coleslaw, just perfect, only complaint was, more food than we could finish!!
If you are in the area, this place is not to be missed, glad we booked in advance as may have missed out on a real treat! High Recommend!

What a lovely little pub! Very very tasty and generous food at reasonable prices. Staff are very attentive and polite. When next in the area we won't hesitate to visit again.

Great village Pub in the heart of Chittlehampton in North Devon. Had a beautiful steak with chips mushrooms and peas. Cooked medium rare just right. Good prices, family atmosphere. Great range of beers and ciders some from local breweries. Pool table, sports available on Screens in various areas on Sky and BT sports. Convivial staff and beautiful location.

Lovely meal out at this pub. Served great food quite late with good service and drinks. Sat outside looking at the square in the sunshine.

We were staying locally in a nearby village and wanted to try and find a dog friendly pub with good food and The Bell did not disappoint. The portions were huge, reasonably priced and amazing quality. They were very helpful on the phone providing directions and were quite patient when we were late due to roadworks. We thoroughly recommend to everyone, with or without dogs.
