Medieval market place . Beautiful period buildings . Loads of fantastic little food shops .. Small lanes and back streets filled with antique shops, book stores and craft shops . We stayed in Whitton , 15 mins drive to Ludlow

On our stay in Ludlow Shropshire...when visiting the town it's a must to have a look around the Castle Square market.....It is open 5 days a week from 9am to 4 pm and is closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays.......It's best to park in the Castle Street carpark, then it's just a short walk to this thriving hub of this lovely historic town......There are plenty of stalls to browse around each selling a different range of products....The busiest day was on the Saturday when there were more stalls despite the bad weather being cold and wet...We can highly recommend a visit if you are in the area....????

Beautiful old market town with Castle and Church, picturesque walk along the River Theme, can do short or long walks, can be muddy and slippery so best to wear walking boots or similar! Lovely old pubs serving Real Ale's and good food (prices vary from reasonable to 'How much!!!' depending on your pocket) so shop around. Markets are on Mon, Weds, Fri and Sat full of fresh fruit, cheeses, meats, plants, jewellery, crafts, pet supplies, clothes and tools etc. Castle, cafe's, shops and restaurants give you a great selection for a perfect day out and dogs allowed in almost everywhere too ????.

During our visit to Ludlow we browsed the Sunday Market. On Sunday it was a flee Market selling antiques and other assorted oddities. There was numerous stalls and the atmosphere was relaxed. The Market is every day I think with different goods on sale on different days, check out the market website which let's you know what's on offer. Whilst at the market we had our lunch at the Silver Grill food truck. The burger ???? I had was tasty and so was my cup of tea ????. Prices are really reasonable too. ????????????

Love this market, something for everyone and I should think no one would leave without buying one item. I like the little plant stall, at top end towards Castle. Always find interesting plants and can't resist buying some. Never had a plant fail from here, healthy specimens.

Very nice local market, you will find local produce, food, alcohol, plants, plates, candles, jewellery... it's worth it to come back cause often, you have different products on the week-end. Sometimes there is a food-truck aswell, and some musicien playing in the market. Its a very lovely local town market, the ambiance is good and friendly, and you have alot of shops, pubs and restaurant around. Highly recommanded !
