Recognisable for its unusual pagoda style triple bellcote, St Michael's Church in Beguildy dates from the 14th century sited in an older circular churchyard.
The church was largely restored in the late 19th century, but the 15th century roof timbers and screen remain. The screen is in the Perpendicular style, though like many other churches it lost its 'rood', a wooden carving of the cruxifixion, during the Reformation. On the chancel side of the loft, there remains the original medieval paintings including Tudor Rose motifs.
At the rear of the nave, there is a 14th century octagonal font reputed to carry the sword sharpening marks of Cromwell's men, an ancient dug-out chest and possibly Victorian bier. The piscina by the door is unusual as it escaped destruction during the Reformation as it still features its basin.

St Michael's Church Beguildy is very easy to find simply drive along the B4355 and look out for the bell tower. Both bells are exposed. For times of worship one is advised to check in advance.
