Beautiful place! If you go to ashwell or are in lechtworth, Baldock any surrounding area you should definitely go here! Nice outside area and fantastic inside. Little play area for kids inside. You can sing there if you want to, which I did, and the acoustics where great.
You see different things in different places so really have a good look around and read what it says on placks and pictures.
Can't recommend this place enough!

Ancient church in Ashwell, with a tower that can be seen from far. An integral hub of the community. Well kept. Lovely and welcoming and serene . Good place for peace and reflection.

This is a beautiful church to visit. Amazing history and historical graffiti to view. Plus it is the heart of the community and welcoming if you are religious or not. Our Vic is great. And it's the location of our community pantry.

On a brisk cross country walk for well needed exercise between Baldock and Ashwell, I came across this wonderful church. The tower is exceptionally large for a church in a village. It was open for locals to obtain donated food supplies and for donations to be given. No one was around at the time. Nice communal indications.

I liked the Lady Chapel, where behind the altar, protected from the light by a wooden cabinet, is a rich gold intricately woven triptych. Go open the cupboard and admire it. Close the doors when you are done, please.

In my opinion St Mary, Ashwell is one of the most interesting in Hertfordshire with many things to see from ancient graffiti to fine carvings. Set in a fine old village.

What a beautiful church in a truly lovely village. The choirs singing at my daughters wedding was fantastic.
