A castle like from a fairytale! Situated on a tidal island but easily accessible, it’s a lovely spot for a picnic! There’s some great walking nearby too.

Just visit. It is in a stunning location, drive to carpark is down single track road past stunning wee secluded loch with fairytale arched bridge. Then you see this amazing castle. Walk along shore across causeway to get great views. Cannot enter ruins but still worth it for the location

Was passing through and wish we could have stayed longer, beautiful and historical place. Such a shame (like so many others) that it's been left to crumble. These types of places deserve preservation.

Beautiful castle ruins, only accessible during a low tide. Went for a swim, saw an eagle, herons, crabs. Quiet place with few visitors.

Such a pretty little spot with a short walk from the car park. Single track road with passing places makes it a little tricky to get to but worth it. Good sized car park.

Wow so nice the castle can be walked up to when the tide is out. Such a nice location to visit plenty of parking. Check the tide times as you don't wish to be stuck on the little island. People had made use of the weather and camped right next to this. Take some smidge to avoid getting bitten.

Really beautiful Castle ruins on a tidal island. A pity it just started to rain as we were walking to the castle - the paths to it were very muddy. I would recommend water proof shoes, and a jacket as rain comes in quickly without warning! You’re not able to go into the Castle but the view is well worth the drive down the narrow road.
