A short easy walk from the gate noted in my pictures, you'll come across a bridge that looks ancient in design but is only about 200 years old. A lovely place for a picnic by the river with scenic hills, stone craftsmanship accompanied by the sounds of nature.

This is a beautiful spot. A pleasant walk through pine and silver birch to the river Dulnain. The old road is no longer used.

Terrific walk to the old Bridge recommended by our awesome airbnb host. Lovely walk through charming Carrbridge and the forest.

What a fabulous place for a spot of fishing or wild swimming. The river is tamed here and some sandy banks make it easy to enter the chilly mountain water. I swam here on an idyllic September afternoon with the sun shining which was quite sublime and energising. Some interesting landscape to explore further afield from here. Well worth the visit.

Keep going along the road till you pass over a cattle grid. Then you come to a blue sign, follow the main pathway down for 15 mins past a house and the bridge is in front of you, it is a nice bridge, the metal railings take away from its authenticity, the stream bubbles beautifully, #Blessed #JaZara #Bridge

The lesser known but equally historic and more scenic and remote Wade Road bridge near Carrridge's more famous and photographed Coffin Bridge next to the road in Carrbridge!

Bridge built about 1720 for one of General Wade's military roads, an interesting country walk.
