Had our Grandsons 4th birthday party in the function room today. Really smart and modern room. Good kitchen facilities. Bar serving drinks and bar snacks in the room too. Room was air conditioned which was a life saver on our day! Staff were really friendly, helpful and amenable. Plenty of parking space. Great party venue and highly recommended.

My friend had a party for her daughters 13th, the lady behind the bar was unbelievably rude and unfriendly. When I arrived to help set up the room she immediately started to have a go at me about it being a 13th and the children not sneaking in alcohol, as had "happened in the past". I explained this definitely wouldn't be a problem, but she persisted to say that even though we thought it wouldn't happen that "this is what they would do, as it had happened before".
I wouldn't have minded as much if she had phrased it a little different but she basically accused all the children before any of them had even arrived on the premises, all because of a bad experience with a completely different set of children.
The entire time she was serving behind the bar that night she made us all feel extremely unwelcome, I'm really not sure why she works in the hospitality trade as I don't think she even knows the meaning of the word. A smile doesn't cost anything, unlike the room hire and amount of money spent at the bar (all by the over 18s may I point out)
The only saving grace was Tom! He was the young man behind the bar who in contrast was extremely welcoming and friendly, thanks to his HOSPITALITY a great night was had by all and the young lady had a fabulous party.. free from alcohol too ????
