Absolute hidden gem of ancient heritage.
Beautifully maintained, well fenced off and easily accessible on foot or by car.
The small site is accompanied by an informative sign to get some lovely lesson on the cairns history.

We were looking for places to visit near Beauly and this popped up, and I'm so glad it did! We arrived as the only ones there, to a small but very interesting site. It's a single Cairn which certainly gives you an odd vibe as you're around it, there's an information panel to learn about its history and it's definitely worth a quick trip. It's in a beautiful setting between hills and quite close to other sites or places to visit.

To the untrained eye you would just see a pile of pebbles, but when you read up on the history of the Cairns, there are fascinating places, definitely worth a 15 minute stop to break up your road trip through Scotland. If you want to increase the air of mystery I recommend visiting here at night, it's so spooky, don't go alone ! . Parking available in a small lay-by 2 minutes walk away

Very nice standing stone circle with great history. Has a lot of energy there, my spine was tingling all the time I was there.

Found this place due to a Magical Mystery Tour in our campervan. Great little parking area 100m from the Cairn. Cairn was a lovely tranquil place. Standing stone and burial Cairn are amazing. Although find it personally amazing it was only built for one person. But look at the pyramids. The area around the Cairn is wonderfull. There is also a RSPB reserve not far away. ????????

This is a really nice piece of history in a very scenic and relaxing location. It is usually not too busy and there is plenty of parking nearby. The cairn is lovely to view from the outside, and the inside of the cairn can be accessed by crawling into a tunnel entrance.
