Fabulous service. Food was great I had the newly introduced to the menu sweet chill hallumi in pitta with sweet potato fries so filling and tasty. My husband had the Haddock and chips again was a fab meal well presented and well worth the money. We will definitely be back (will walk next time ????)

What a find! A lovely gastro pub in a lovely village. The service was excellent. Ollie and his team of young waiters were superb. Attentive but not in the way and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was really relaxed. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and looking forward to going back very soon. Would highly recommend.

Lovely staff, great food and cold beer!

The staff very kindly allowed me to park my lorry in the corner of the car park overnight after a very long day. A warm place with very friendly staff and beautiful food. I would recommend to anyone and next time I'm in the area, I'll definitely be calling in

Absolutely amazing staff and would definitely recommend visiting when in the area. Even though all the staff were young they were incredibly kind and respectful throughout our entire meal. Not only this but I was blown away by the amazing food. Definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area.

Lovely pub with a wonderful garden. Fit for a great pint and bite to eat.
Only four stars as had to wait a while.....

Though trust me when I say, the fish n Chips is the best you will ever have!

Had a meal there this evening, it’s been my first visit. The 2 waitresses were lovely and attentive. I asked one of them to recommend a dish as I was spoilt for choice. The pie she recommended was absolutely delicious, very well made and presented. Meal was very filling and couldn’t finish it. Have absolute no hesitation in recommending the Lord Nelson and will definitely be going again. Compliments to the chef. Thank you all for a warm welcome, lovely surroundings and a delicious meal.

As part of a walking group we often pre walk a route before taking a large group and of course try out a pub for lunch.
Today Sunday lunch was an option on the menu, Beef or Lamb with all of the trimmings. Fabulous is probably the right word to describe it. Looking forward to taking our walking group for lunch after a 6 to 7 mile hike.

Great staff, they where really really busy but took time to get us snack and not send out hungry. 5+ from us. Beautifully kept pub very clean, helpful service. Please book ahead to avoid disappointment
