Newly built and clean. Peaceful. Ample parking facility. Disable entrance facility as well.

It is a lovely place with some moderate walks that are not too strenuous. Perfect for a nice sunny day as it is quite shaded because of the trees. There's a slide, fairy trail, and gruffalo trail for kids, an old mill for people interested in history, exotic plants and trees for plant lovers, and some picnic spots to have your lunch. When the river is low, you can go down to it from the mill for a nice relaxing atmosphere. The woman at the information hut was very friendly and helpful!

Before you go, make sure you take cash, can do a bank transfer, or have PayPal as card readers do not work out there. The admission is worth the price, it is £5 for an adult and £2.50 for children (4-16 years old).

This was a lovely day out, beautiful walk through the woods, with highlights of sculpture, flowers and structures throughout. The gardens are dog friendly but they must be kept on a lead. The champion trees at the end were spectacular. I would highly recommend a visit here
There is a children's play area, large slide and gruffalo themed area as well

Little wee hidden gem so easy to miss it. Worth stopping off its on the road from the rest and be thankful pass to Inveraray. Just past the Dunoon turn. Dogs allowed and buggy friendly. There are fairies and a Gruffalo trail (might mean something to those with kids lol)

Gorgeous place for a walk in the sunshine. It is dog friendly and a very large space to walk around with great views. Good for people of all ages, especially kids with the gruffalo trail and new slide!

Beautiful trees and landscape, with the Gruffalo trail and Fairy village adding very sweet highlights. Needs a good hour to appreciate. We had glorious sunny weather but I expect this would still be charming when it's wet.

One of my favorite places I stopped on my journey through Scotland. Photos just can’t do justice to the sheer size of some of these trees, and the walk past the old mill is gorgeous. I was alone for my walk, but it would have been a great place to visit with kids.

Beautiful woodland that’s got paths for people of all ages. Most of the paths are easy to follow, but it could do with some better marking once your off the Gruffalo trail. But even on a rainy day this place was magical. Highly recommended :)

Clearly well looked after forest (no litter or dog mess) with all the paths in good condition which makes the £14 admission fee for a family worth it. Some stunning trees and plenty of things to keep the kids occupied and educate them about. It was raining the whole 1hr walk but the tree cover made it bearable. The plus side was that the place was super quiet and tranquil - worth the visit. Not pram suitable.
