What a fantastic place to come eat, staff super friendly and helpful, food excellent, good portion size. For me couldn't fault it. Go try it out.

Beautiful pub inside and out. Very friendly staff and a good choice of food and beers. Wye valley beer in particular was very tasty. Been a couple of times and not disappointed on any occasion. Sister pub to Hand and Trumpet which is also excellent

What an absolute gem of a place! We recently stayed at Combermere Abbey so ventured here for a few drinks and dinner. We had such a lovely time that we ended up staying for hours and even returned again the next day! Beautifully decorated and the staff are simply wonderful. Special shout out to the landlady (I'm so sorry I didn't catch your name), we really enjoyed chatting with you. The food was also delicious and very well priced, plus I thoroughly enjoyed trying lots of different gins!
Thanks for making our few days away extra lovely. When we're back in the area we'll certainly be returning!

The Combermere Arms, at Burleydam is so worth a visit. A very old, beamed and panelled interior, so full of character. The menu is changed on a daily basis. Obviously have a very good chef, as food is hot, well presented and tasty, along with excellent portions. Staff are very welcoming and accommodating. Lovely sitting out areas to the front and rear, along with a large carpark and toilet facilities. Lovely to have this 10 mins from home.

We had the Korean Fried Broccoli (my friend said it was delicious) and the Harrisa
Sweetcorn Ribs - totally disappointing and way to costly (£525 / $6.22) for 1/2 an ear of corn quartered. For the main meal we had the steak burger, braised shoulder of lamb, sticky lime and ginger chicken, and the steak, smoked bacon, and venison pie. They were all excellent! The service was very good and the women bar tending and/or the manager was extremely welcoming and a kind. The building itself is worth the visit.

Had a pretty awful experience. Four of us in total. Both pairs of people had travelled over an hour to get here (meet in the middle kind of deal). The table was booked in advance.

Unfortunately there was a power cut and power wasn’t restored until an hour later from the grid. Then they had trouble getting the power on consistently within the building (nothing to do with the grid). We don’t blame the power cut on them. That wouldn’t be fair.

That being said, we were waiting for over an hour in the heat and ordered things like crisps and drinks to keep us going and cool. In the end we gave up and went home.

To our amazement the management didn’t offer any kind of compensation when we said we were going home. Even a 10%-20% would have been a nice gesture, but we paid in full and promptly left.

We’ve been to plenty of Brunning and Price pubs across the country but we never had management be so clueless about customer experience.

It’s probably a one off as other friends and family have spoken highly of it - it was my first time there - but not a great experience.

The food was very good, and staff were also friendly.
Good size car park.
Prices were good and I'll be going back here again.
The main entrance do have a few steps, if you use a wheelchair better check if there is another entrance.
