We attended our best friend's wedding here and stayed for 2 nights. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The room we stayed In Was spacious and comfortable and the views from the window was amazing. We stayed In the top family room which had an ensuite bathroom with shower. The grounds are very well maintained and we have two young children whom had virtually free rain to explore. They loved the garden. Great venue great staff, perfect location.

We stayed here for four nights during April, but after Easter week. It was for a quiet break and to do some walk8ng in and around Bath. It's an old hotel dating back to Victorian times, when it was a hydro hotel, where people came to take the waters. This adds to its charm, as the rooms and corridors are/ very different from the modern hotels, in which everything is very uniform. In the evening, the bar meals are excellent and good value. Unfortunately, the choice of food. breakfast was a bit dated, compared with what you get in a Premier Inn. We would be happy to stay there again for another few nights break, as it is in a very quiet but really nice location, a little bit off the beaten track..

Stayed one night for a birthday. Good location to Bath. Had a double run with nice views on the surrounding area. Room a little dated but can see they have worked well with space they have. Mould in shower slider does need attention but all in all a decent place to sleep for an evening.

Fantastic setting. What valley has a railway line, canal and a river all going through it. Excellent service. Friendly staff. What more could you ask for. Great attractions like Georgian Bath and Bradford on Avon within a good easy drive.

Beautiful building in a very rural area. We had a top floor room, it had a lovely view of the river and trains gliding through the countryside. It was a very warm room, we stayed into the new year and slept with the window open. The breakfast was fantastic... You could pick as much as you wanted and it was beautifully laid out... The staff were extremely friendly, even down to the cleaner who seemed a very happy chap. We loved it here and will definitely be staying again.

Just had the 1 night stay here. Very pleasant hotel in a great location and very reasonably priced. The food was ok, the service and staff were really friendly and helpful.

Originally booked for 2 nights at £280 . Beautiful building, rooms traditional. On arrival the receptionist informed us that we were being upgraded to the exquisite suite ???? with a view. When actually the room we had was right above the entrance not a great view compared to other rooms and actually cheaper but we paid the same so we got down graded I’d say. We did not get 1 minutes sleep due to noise and not just average walking about noise! Banging, creaking. Called down to reception to get no answer. Then at 7:30am I went down to be greeted by a very uncooperative man at reception who was very unhelpful and did nothing to solve my issue apart from saying I could have a refund for the second night ( obviously as I was not going to stay again due to the lack of hospitality. On returning to my room the noise increased and ridiculously loud music so I rang down to reception to be greeted by an engaged tone so I called off my mobile and got an answer again a very hostile one with nothing done again. On ringing again the man stated that he would come up . He then sent a much older man to deal with the party animals causing issues. Yeah I got a refund no the people causing the problem weren’t told. We never even got a sorry an offer to be changed rooms. The lady who dealt with my refund was very unprofessional and no empathy what so ever!!! So on a whole I would not recommend.
The only way I would return or recommend is with a whole new board of staff ! Actually the bar man was very accommodating

Nice hotel. Good food menu with a value for money bar menu and great service. Rooms clean with tea and coffee. Lovely terrace to sit and have a drink on.
