After a very disappointing visit a few months ago, regarding long wait for food etc, we were given compensation by way of a voucher for free main meals.
We went back last week and were delighted with the service and quality of food.
Our server Hannah W was just lovely and couldn't do enough for us.
My hubby had the mixed grill, it was amazing.
I had steak pie and it was lovely.
We'll definitely be back.

We were a party of 4, 2 vegetarians and 2 meat eaters. Although the veggie menu is not vast, there are choices. The food was served timely, hot and well presented and was all really tasty. Will go again and would recommend but would advise checking the menu before you go, for non-veggies and vegans there is a lot of choice. I gave a 4 star because I would would like to see more vegan options and also prefer to see haddock on the menu but that is my personal preference. Overall 4 clean plates and full tummies.

I’m a Scot but live in England. We rarely get the time to visit. This was our first stop in Scotland on Sunday. The food was pretty good, above normal Marston standard - the staff / welcome / ambiance was unbelievably warm, genuine, and well above the standard I’d expect. Probably the best customer service overall I’ve experienced in ages. It really did make us feel welcome in Scotland. thank you to Hannah and the two chaps working that day.

Hannah W was a fantastic server, cheerful and so helpful. The food here really exceeded expectations. Really nice. My children had chicken gougons which they said were the nicest thing they’d ever eaten. Highly recommended

Good pub food, friendly and professional staff. Great service. I would recommend this for a nice and casual dinner/lunch. Nice beer garden too when the weather is nice which it always has been when we visit. Thank you to kitchen staff and Hannah W. Great service ????

Actually had a great stay here- all the staff were very friendly and tried to be as helpful as possible with the kids! Room as clean, beds comfy and we would definitely stay again if we were coming back to Dunbar. Only thing that let it down a bit was the food at the restaurant- breakfast was very slow and the bacon was burnt (I love crispy well done bacon normally but this took it to a new level lol!). We waited over an hour for our meals. Then friends joined us and they didn't even get theirs at all unfortunately. These were just small things that could make it better but we were very satisfied with everything else that we weren't too bothered at all. The staff were great! Thank you ????

Sunday 25th June arrived at Pine Marten we were met by I think the manager who very friendly and helpful and he booked us in for an evening meal. Hannah was serving our table she was very bubbly and happy person and made ordering a pleasure.
Overall I can't fault the accommodation or the staff. Very convenient right near that A1.

great selection of cocktails and food, the halloumi and red pepper kebab was absolutely gorgeous, staff were all very friendly and kind to me and my party. would recommend to anyone looking for good drinks, food and service.
