We visit Millom every year around the my birthday and we always visit this pub because we always have pleasant experiences.
We ate here last night and the steak was delicious. Really flavourful! Chips where crispy on the outside - I have no complaints.
My partner got the steak & mushroom pie which he enjoyed too. Lovely staff and will probably go there to eat again this evening ????

Beer garden is big too - shame about the weather ☔️

Not the best photos as I took off my onion rings & mushrooms and put them on my partners plate as I don’t eat either.???? I only took a photo once I’d started eating to send to my mum ????

We did not stay in rooms here but had the unfortunate experience of having an evening meal here recently. The cheese and onion pie would have been palatable if not for the slimy piece of 'plastic cheese' on top of the pastry (why?) I was given frozen vegetables but the broccoli was overcooked and carrot was hard (how?) and the mash was bland packet potato with no seasoning whatsoever. The poor waitress....who was lovely by the way....had the good grace to look embarrassed when she brought our gravy out in a plastic kitchen jug and left it on the table for us. The gravy was granules...not a problem in my eyes....but it was very lumpy. I don't know if it was an "off "night but they were not busy, just two couples. The staff were lovely but even that would not entice us to ever go back there again!

Great little pub,good food good prices, cutlery needs attention, the knifes need changing struggled to cut my steak.. cash only.

We had a lovely 2 course meal, although there was an option of 1 or 3 courses also. We had the Sunday lunch and there were several options for dessert. The staff were really welcoming too. I would recommend the Harbour Hotel for families too.

Nice clean and tidy pub with friendly staff. A large beer garden and the ale is good. Not eaten here but lunchtime and evening meals served most days, on the day we were there, the sign outside said lunch not being served today, I don't know if that was usual or due to staff shortages but, enjoyed the beer in the garden anyway. Will try the food next time we are up that way.

We went to Haverigg to the Beach but it was low tide ???? and a boiling hot day.
Stopped at the Habour Hotel to have a little lunch and cold drinks. Lovely beer garden with shade, nice crisp chips and onion rings, jacket pots well filled, fresh salad etc even though it was the chefs day off.
All the staff were friendly and helpful.
My kids played happily in the beer garden. Even bowls of water for my dog around the garden.
Nice, friendly, well run, family pub ????????

Very good dog friendly beer garden, but dogs not allowed inside. Very much a visitors pub in summer doing food most lunchtimes and evenings, and a locals bar out of season. Usually has one or two real ales and is open every day (usually).
