This place isn't cheap, but you get what you're paying for (just my opinion, ymmv). Food was great, way better than I was expecting.

Alcohol selection is pretty much what you'd expect, decent beer and whisky selection, not so much others.

Staff are pleasant (if you're expecting bright smiles etc... maybe Scotland isn't for you) and happy to chat a bit.

We were first to arrive for lunch after a lengthy drive back home from a trip up north. Let’s just say we weren’t met with a warm welcome, lady at the bar was blunt and quite frankly miserable looking. I imagine this place being in the spot it is sees many people passing through so don’t understand why you would be in a job when you have zero social skills. Despite this, the food was beautiful and served promptly.

Excellent place to stop off enroute. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is first class, I would recommend the home made steak pie, Delish. Definitely value for money. The service is top class could not ask for better. Very clean and tidy. It has a lovely warm atmosphere makes you feel at home. Would definitely recommend.

Wasn't sure what to make of this place. When we arrived there at about 7.15pm there were only a couple of cars in the huge car park, which didn't bode well. The decor reminded me of an old social club and when we walked through the door we were greeted by the stares of locals in the bar slowly chewing through their meals. A lots of the tables around the corner in the main restaurant bit were taken and the atmosphere was one of hushed friendly chatter. We grabbed a table, ordered at the bar and the food came really quickly. No messing. Great service and outstanding food!! My partner had steak pie- which was amazing, and I had poached salmon and veg, which was cooked to perfection with the most delicious buttery spring potatoes and a sauce to die for. Totally recommend this place!

Beautiful food. Pleasent atmosphere. Toilets. Get your table number and go to the bar and order food. Some pics attached. Ramp for wheel chair user access. Electric car charging point just around the corner as well as well maintained public toilets. Lovely place for a wee walk after a nice lunch at the rod and reel.

Very welcoming upon arrival,nice and relaxing,sat outside tho as it was sunny ,can't say that very often in Scotland. staff do a great job and are very pleasant to all who enter this establishment would recommend this place for a rest while out walking the hills .will definitely be back

Ordered hot chocolate with cream and had big bad stomach problems. At ordering l noticed old and new cream was used. I didn't ate anything else but this.
