The basics are in place, I always manage to get through to the reception sometimes after a long wait and request call backs from the GP,
I don't feel as though the GPS care at this practice.
I feel like they lack empathy and aren't really interested and certainly don't look at the bigger picture.
I think that it's hard too trust putting your health in their hands.

This is for the wonderful reception staff who have gone above and beyond for me. I'm very impressed, they are professional, kind and thorough. One lady called me to give me advice as it was better than communicating over mygp system. I've not however been impressed by the male doctor at all - why do they spend the shortest amount of time on the phone with you, explain nothing, not offer to do anything for you and leave you in a state of anxiety, no diagnosis or care. I had to go to addenbrooks where I met the most amazing doc who spent time with me, answered all my questions, tested me properly and diagnosed me. Needless to say he had come out of retirement - felt good to have a real appointment with a caring knowledgeable old school doctor.

I've gone to get my tablets again and they have lost my prescription again I need the tablets and no one can help no one cares for you anymore at the hollies and I'm taking this higher I thought health was important

I have not one good thing to say, my partner has been chasing her doctor for weeks about answers about her health, bloods taken reception told her the doctors need to call her about her bloods. Never received the call she had to chase them, yet again no further actions........ went for another oppintment as she wasn't happy, she knows somethings not right, walked in the room with the doctor to be told firmly "there is nothing wrong with you carry on as normal" in and out withing 30sec, so still not happy called again another oppintment different doctor took urine can see there signs of an infection and somethings not right.... this gp is an absolute joke get to the howldale its 100x better they see and check u over properly

You can’t request an appointment u will only be seen by a doctor if they request it no follow up appointments never go through I have only managed to see 1 doctor in 17 months of being with them!

The worst Surgery i have ever experienced! Continuous mistakes, poor GP treatment, referrals are never followed up by GP , blood tests go missing!! ?? ..Diagnosis is poor and often missed . Blood conditions are not monitored as per procedure!! Nothing positive to say at all .Absolutely no trust in the GP or Surgery.

The hollies run a first class service especially in the difficult times of covid.
This practice runs better than other surgeries .
What people don't realise it is also a busy clinic ..
Having podiarty .
Physio.
Social xare .
Rehab
The list is endless . It offers far more than other surguries..
The Dr's and nursing team are actually constantly busy ..
I
The hollies is not open on weekends, only for special clinics on a Saturday.. ie.
Flu clinic .
Smear clinic.
The receptionists and staff are a wonderful team .
Too many negatives are written when it is so unjust .

The very fact that this practice does not even respond or acknowledge the reviews given so far, is a clear indication of their patient interest.

I understand we are in the middle of a pandemic but for older, housebound patients, what are they expected to do when feeling ill?
I called the surgery for my mother, requested a house visit as she was feeling extremely ill and unable to move from bed. Her carers had arrived and had called me to say she was very ill.

I get told that house visits do not exist now due to Covid and that the doctor would return the call. 6 hours later, I call again for an update as we were still waiting for the call back from the surgery.
I was then told there was nothing they could do except prescribe more meds (how can they say this, when they have no idea what has caused the pain in the first place!) and if the pain continued to be so bad, we should call an ambulance.

And this is what we had waited for 6 hours to be told. Unbelievable. Would they have eventually even bothered to return my call? Questionable.

There is no care or compassion shown for the elderly and housebound. Hours of worry for them waiting for return calls from the doctors that sometimes don't even happen and then being told they have 2 choices - either come to the surgery or call 999. Full stop.

Disgraceful.
