I am a patient for this Practice. I confirm it is the worst GP in the North East England I can not get through the phone as it always busy sign. I am in stress how is it always busy. Nowadays everything is done by phone specially appointments if the phone is always busy how can you get an appointment? I would not recommend this surgery to my worst enemy. Beware folks.

Rude receptionists
Appointments cancelled several times on the day of appointment.
One month waiting time for simple blood test.
On average 500 calls need to be made in the morning to get through appointment line in the morning.
Very poor service

2 hours 3 mins on hold get to number 3 and they say no one available and cut me off, been trying for 8 days now to get phone appointment this is beyond a disgrace and sorry doesn't cut it.

The worst GP practice I have ever been a member of. Once you get to see the GP’s they are amazing. But the way this practice is ran is a joke, they make it almost impossible to see anyone ever, I complained about a lump in my neck, tried to get to see someone for days ringing 150 times in the morning, tried walking in, got absolutely no where, they said “if you are that worried then go to hospital” this is the worst advice ever, GP practices are meant to try and protect the NHS and hospitals, I left and joined another GP and they have sorted me out straight away, trust me if you are reading this join another Practice, we’re living in 2022 not 1940

Bloody Disgrace.

Was told in May that I would need certain tests and an Xray, promised appointment never arrived, months later I've rang to chase up and now 'not legible' for the xray as its "not needed".

You'd have to have the patience of a Saint to put up with the service from CGMG. Totally wrong to state 'friendly and caring' on their website.

Edit - Lyndsay on reception was incredibly helpful and understanding on the phone therefore an extra star has been given!

Reading the negative reviews and I think a lot of people have never used another GP service! The reception staff are friendly and always willing to help. They've been especially busy with Covid-19 pandemic and I think they deserve more credit for managing to keep things running as well as they have.

Yes there are problems sometimes, but out of the multiple GP services I've experienced, this is definitely one of the best I've used. If you're really annoyed with wait times etc, then stop voting for governments who cut their budget so they have to have less staff.

Quite frankly I am appalled at the service provided. Rude staff. An impossible barrier to getting the care required. Had a text message from the no smoking service nurse saying she tried to call me, I had no missed calls. And that I was to call the surgery if I needed anything. The receptionist said that she would ask the no smoking nurse to call me back. Surely a missed call does not constitute contact. And especially when I have no missed calls from the practice.Now let's see how long I wait for the call back. Probably forever. Patients are losing their patience with a system that puts up a barrier to patient care. Nonetheless things have improved significantly over recent weeks and the practice does actually provide a decent level of care now.
