AA RECOVERY
Rear puncture on my Yamaha motorcycle happened on the Tarbert ferry to Portavadie.. Breakdown cover via Nationwide meant the AA were called so Tom from Stag Garage in Lochgilphead arrived with Trailer a distance of 70 miles. The tyre had too large a cut to be repaired so very happy to know it was to be secured on a trailer and taken to my home address which was almost 70 miles further away plus a short ferry trip.. Bike was secured very well and loaded and unloaded carefully.. Great service and understanding from Tom allowing myself and two others travelling in our group to get home safely.

Not open 24 hrs as states. Came with puncture on a friday was told i would get a call back next day as compressor not working, after no call I called myself but kept going to answermachine, no one in premises - was left without no other options

Tom from Stag Garage came to my rescue in the dark, whilst visiting family in Lochgilphead. He arrived within 20 mins of logging my call and was friendly and professional on arrival. He managed to get my car going again quickly and offered advice on how to follow up the fault on my car. He even left his number incase I broke down again before we started our journey back home. Thanks to Tom we made our 2.5 hour journey back home and his advice was spot on! Highly recommend! ????

Stag Garage Ltd advertise that they have 24/7 operating times. This is specifically for emergency roadside recovery... This is misleading.

I recommend Kilmartin Auto Recovery and Argyll Recovery for being able to assist on the phone and in person!

I had a flat tyre on the drivers side and had no spare tyre on board and was in need of assistance.

Today (16/12/22), I phoned Stag Garage Ltd. from 19:27 to 19:57 and the phone kept ringing out.

This garage is located across from the Co-op and is right beside Riverside Petrol Station where my car was stranded. They were so close to the petrol station that I walked over. I went to knock the door of the garage and phoned. It was not to my surprise that the phone was ringing out with no response.

I think Stag Garage Ltd. has false information online and that it is outdated.

I have used this company before for a car check up as it was making a strange noise from the passenger side. I was told that I had a complete check up which took a full day. The mechanic (owner) said nothing was wrong.

The noise still existed after leaving the garage and it raised my concern. It resulted in me taking it for a check up at another garage and it was found to have brakes so far gone that it was scoring the braking disks which could have potentially resulted in an accident and cost me more money and possibly my life.

New tyres and labour costs are expensive here.

It is sad for me to write this because I like to support local businesses but I do not recommend this company.

Our front near side tyre was obliterated after hitting an obstruction we never saw, late at night near Connel on the West coast of Scotland.
We have a ferry to catch tomorrow.
Tom from Stag Motors was with us within an hour, very friendly and professional.
He got the wrecked tyre and wheel off and the safety tyre on in minutes and we were on our way again. Good luck, Tom, and thank you!

Vehicle recovery and delivery to home address. Motorcycle broke down on Islay. Tom collected it from the ferry terminal at
Kennacraig on23/08/22 and took it to the Lochgilphead depot. Tom then contacted me on the morning of the24/08/22 to advise he would deliver tre bike to me at approx 12.00hours. He contacted me again at 11.48 to say he was 15mins away. He arrived on the dot and immediately introduced himself. Tom was polite and friendly throughout the drop-off procedure. Even recommending a possible cause for the problem with the bike for which I am very grateful. He is a credit to the company and I cannot praise his professionalism too highly. If I ever find myself
in the same position and area again I will not hesitate to use Stage Garage Ltd. excellent service.

Tom from Staggs came out to rescue us having broken down in Tayvallich. He came out quickly and identified the issue of a blocked fuel pipe. Despite being unable to fix at the roadside he gave us a lift; and the doggies! back to our holiday accommodation. He also organised our vehicle to be recovered back to home in Devon through the RAC. Great service. Friendly helpful chap :) Thanks Tom!
