Been there for washer pump issues. Told me that checked and found washer pump issue need to change and cost about 150+ no repair done, diagnostic charge 49£, at home opened the car and checked pump seen some dirt in pump and blocked the water flow is cleaned, and works well.

People could have chosen better ways to cheat/loot people.

The next day visited the shop and informed them about my findings
Accepted their fault in diagnostics without hesitation and refunded the money in a very professional manner which I was least anticipated ????

Took my Mercedes ML to A&P on recommendation of a local garage as had huge drain to battery. Not only did they book me in very quickly they managed to identify the cause of the drain and put a suitable fix in place (full repair would require expensive trip to Mercedes !!!) all at extremely reasonable cost. Whole process was smooth and very efficient. No hesitation in recommending them.

A&P are a long-established, ethical company.
They never over-charge you - if it's only a lightbulb that they find has failed, they just charge for a lightbulb.
They've just fixed our tailgate: other companies have drawn a blank*, but A&P fixed it within an hour and charged less than £50.
Very knowledgeable staff. Very competent.
If there's anything electrical wrong with the car, I wouldn't go anywhere else.
*I mentioned going to other places before them when trying to get our tailgate fixed, but it wasn't something we recognised as an electrical problem.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Edited due to misleading response from A&P

You claim to look after customers cars yet when in your possession my car got damaged and you tried not to take responsibility by showing us signs saying cars are parked at your own risk and you said you didn't do it therefore it wasn't for you to pay for the repair. We didn't park the car, you did.
We brought the car to you on the Friday and the part required was not coming in until the Wednesday when we were away therefore we asked if we could collect it the following Monday when we were back which you agreed to, therefore taking responsibility for it while in your care.
You did pay for the repair BUT only because you'd authorised the repair with the body shop thinking we were paying half. When we refused to pay for damage caused by you / while under your care you phoned the body shop to try to stop the repair but it had already been primed ready to be painted.
The implication that the car may have been damaged before coming to you (we check every car for damage when it comes in now) is beyond belief when you and I know there was no damage when it came in. You even commented to us that the damage wasn't there on the Friday before we collected it. Plus I have photos of the car I took just before bringing the car to you which show the date, which I can and am happy to show as proof, what about your cctv footage which you weren't happy to go through or show us as proof?

My car was damaged while at A&P and they are expecting us to pay half the cost of the repair. They admitted the car was not damaged Friday when there but it is damaged this morning when we have gone to pick it up and their answer was that it wasn't their fault and there's a sign saying you park at your own risk. We didn't park the car there, they did work on it and parked it where it was. There is a caravan by it and it looks as though somebody has driven into the caravan although nobody is admitting to doing it.
The attitude of this company is awful considering my car was damaged while in their care. No apology or anything.

Beyond a joke!!!!
