Great having these two but could do with more as always have to wait. Today there is only 1 working the second has a fault on it.

I have had the most awful service from Instavolt all day in two locations.
First at McDonalds Appleby Magna I pull up at one machine. Appleby Two, the charge screen is not working. I phone the support line who tell me the they have got the vehicle charging. I go for twenty minutes expecting to come back to a semi charged car. I come back to find the machine has put a negligible charge on my car. I move to the other charger and again seek to use the touch screen to charge my car, again it does not work. I have to ring the support again who manage to get the machine to charge my car. 45 mins later than it should have taken. I leave having missed two business appointments.
About 7 o'clock I arrive in Shrewsbury, concerned I will not get home I call in at Shrewsbury 2 at Banantynes. I try to start the machine, it will not start, then gets itself in a muddle when I start again. I repeat this three times without success. I later find Instavolt have taken three £15 charges out of my bank account. I ring the helpline who again tell me they are facing problems with the charging system and we go through the process of getting me started, half way through they say I need to move to Shrewsbury 1. It again will not start. They eventually start the charging through the app, a minute later it disconnects and stops charging. I ring again, they have to reboot the charger, eventually they manage to get me charging. I only wanted a 10 mile range to get me home, it too half an hour just to get started. Really poor all round

Charger 2; the app stalled at the ‘start charge’ point. Pressing the Start button on the machine repeatedly had no effect. Stopped and was eventually able to start , when the app finally allowed me to re-connect.

it's not a bad charger, in as much as it works more often than not. Which for the UK charger network is high praise indeed. But it's currently only charging at 30kw on Station 1 and it should be 50kw. So i'm tortured by even longer charge times than ever. the site isn't lit, there is no cover from the rain when your trying to bend over to see and decipher the tiny little scrolling display screen that can't present the most basic information in one readable view. The car parking space is very narrow and it's touch and go trying to park on an angle to get the side charger socket in reach of the cable. the Station 2 space is narrow with a curb lip so you just need to lunge your car onto the grass to get the lead to fit a car with right hand CCS connector. Finally, as a nod to the forthcoming award for the worst design ever, these chargers ask you to press the start button, which is blue, and the stop button is green, so i'll give you one guess which button most people press and wonder why it's not working, priceless.

Thank you for providing 2 x convenient 50Kw DC charging points at Shrewsbury beside the Bannatynes' Club. The charging bays are a little small but, with careful positioning and consideration from from other drivers to maintain reasonable distancing, the points are great. On the 26/11/21 however, a developed fault on Charger 2 (the last point) and charging stopped after 12 minutes. Unfortunately, this was only discovered after returning to the car within an hour. I then had to restart the charging process for a further 5 minutes. Thank you also for the quick response in notifying cost for charging by emails.

The charges are good but unfortunately once again someone has left their car and not got back to it even though it's finished charging. InstaVolt need to do something about this. Maybe a maximum 1 hour stay or an extra charge if a car isn't removed once charging is finished.

Hi InstaVolt, firstly let me say that I only use your chargers and am a fan.
On this occasion though this charger let me down.
I set up the charging from the App all was going well so i headed in for a toilet break and a cup of tea.
On return only 4 minutes of charge had been added :-(.

My car is an ID.3 and is usually well behaved when left charging.

Please may I make one other point - How are we meant to find the charger number that the app requires by looking at the charger - in this case I guessed I was on Charger 1 - this might be the problem?

Later on today I charged at the "Three tress farm and cafe" south of Swindon, I could not use the app as with a chance of 1 in 4 I was not going to try guessing - I was in fact on Charger 4 which it told me after I had used my debit card,.. The charge was totally successful :-). Advice please :-)

Charger No. 1 was down this morning. Seems like it has been fixed already. Although the contactless function is still out I believe. Also you should consider adding more chargers or upgrading them to 150kw ones. This site is busy as we have no other 50+ sites anywhere near.
