Lovely place!! Our party of six all had six different mains and they were all delicious! Seriously. Amazing. Food! The service was amazing and friendly! Intimate atmosphere and good vibes all round. Definitely worth the price, would recommend!

(Couldn’t wait to take photos before we tucked in!)

We came passing through with a tiny appetite and received big smiles and service. Such generous staff, lovely food and atmosphere. An example for excellent and most of all heart felt hospitality and love of good food and guests. Thank you.

Very tasty Salmon for lunch. It was on special the day I was there for and it didn’t disappoint.
The lunch menu is limited however, the chef is very accommodating and will try to find something for everyone.
The price is £19.95 for two courses but there are always a few special dishes which cost a bit extra.
Fresh Lobsters arrived for the evening service which caused a bit of excitement. It’s nice to see fresh ingredients being delivered to a restaurant.
In the kitchen, I could see the manageress and chef peeling carrots together. A real team effort which gives this restaurant a homely welcoming feel.
Parking is limited down at the harbour however, there is a large free, open carpark at the leisure centre 5 minutes walk away.
This restaurant is well worth a visit either for lunch or evening meal. Table reservation is recommended especially at the weekends.
It is closed on a Sunday.

Amazing meal. Had the hake special and limoncello curd and meringue (wife had chicken and blueberry parfait). Great food and service. Highly recommended!!!

Fresh, flavoursome food which is beautifully presented by a really friendly and professional team.

This cosy restaurant offers a warm, hospitable welcome. It has a great menu featuring wonderful, fresh local ingredients alongside a really well thought- out and varied wine list.

Service is both friendly and highly professional. Nothing seems to be too much trouble and the team can answer any questions you might have about the menu.

Highly recommended!

The Creel is back! I have been going to this restaurant for twenty four years and watched the owners come and go. I am delighted to see the new team make a great success of this restaurant. After we got home from enjoying a fabulous meal there, we came home and booked again for the end of the month. The staff, service and food are all fabulous.

Unfortunately, the individual courses were small enough to make a 3 course meal feasible. This was bad for the wallet. However, each course was full of flavour and the cooking brought out the quality of the locally sourced ingredients. Everything was delicious, freshly prepared and served efficiently. It was a great experience all round and well worth the money.
I started with whipped goats cheese with beetroot. Monkfish wrapped in parma ham was my main course and for pudding I had a frozen blueberry parfait. My wife had the cheeseboard with an excellent selection of cheeses and a generous variety of crackers and oatcakes.
