The glen is stunning and the parallel lines add to its appeal. Just a short walk up from the car park takes you to the first parallel line and you can walk along it, with amazing views. Brilliant place.

The car parking viewpoint area is 3.5 miles from Roybridge along the well surfaced single track road. There are plenty of passing places along the way but not much traffic along the route anyway. Amazing views of the surrounding Glen from here and it's easy to spot the "Parallel Roads"on the far hills mentioned on the information boards.
Well worth a trip out along the road to this spot.

This is the car park to view the “Parallel Roads” that exist up the glen. These are ice age shore lines from glacial lakes created by the damming of the glen by the ice sheet. It is an amazing place trying to imagine what it must have been like at that time. Great view over to Grey Corries too.

Beautiful place. I would highly recommend to drive through the Glen.
