Great location, its very deep water dam. During summer its empty and winter and after some rain it become full. But nice place to spent a evening on the shore of the dam

Nice and calm location. Away from the busy city life. We visited in December and dam was empty. There are nice farms around the area where you can camp and relax. Can go with sedan cars.

Very beautiful place especially after it rains, it is surrounded by beautiful mountains and very nice places to sit and enjoy the nature, good photography lovers can go there to take nice shots of the lake and mountains. In summer it is usually dry.

I visited this Dam in September. There was not even a drop of water here. In winter after rain this world be a great place. It was really windy and we didn't feel the heat even at 12noon. You will have a good view from this place.

Wadi Siji is a seasonal watercourse in the Hajar Mountains of Fujairah, in the United Arab Emirates. The wadi runs from the Sharjah city of Dhaid to the mountain town of Masafi, where it meets the Wadi Ham and Wadi Abadila. It has long been a strategic route connecting the interior and East Coast of the UAE.

The wadi is dammed at the village of Siji, where the Wadi Siji 'Old Dam' has a water storage capacity of 1.2 million cubic meters.[The dam, constructed in the 1970s, is 10m high and 500m wide. Like many wadis in the Hajar Mountains, Wadi Siji is prone to seasonal flash floods and high water levels with at times tragic consequences. In 2001, UAE President Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan ordered the construction of a further three dams at Siji, providing water resources for 312 homes and 210 farms in the area as part of a Dhs250 million national water infrastructure development project.

The area is a popular ecotourism destination.

The village is the location of the Siji Societal Majlis, opened in 2017 by the Crown Prince of Fujairah, one of a number of government investments in rural infrastructure that have improved communications, access and facilities. The planned Etihad Rail Network is scheduled to pass through Wadi Siji and a freight facility at Siji is due to be constructed as part of the second phase of the network rollout.

A number of quarries and crushers are located throughout Wadi Siji and the surrounding mountains. Finds of petroglyphs and gravesites have been made in the Wadi Siji, with petroglyphs found notably depicting horses and riders. The remains of old copper workings are also to be found in the area, particularly in the tributary Wadi Ashwani.

Very nice place to visit near Friday Market Musafi, after Al Zaid city. There is no water in dam nowadays but still good for camping and BBQ.

Beautiful place for a walk.

Walked the Gritstone Trail, walked up to White Nancy and then down to the waterfall.
The lack of parking is an issue and must be a bugbear for the locals. It means that the walk is relatively quiet though.
Most of the trail has livestock on it, but there are a few fenced areas where it's ok to let dogs off leads.
Can't get to the pool below the waterfalk to cool off hot dogs, worth bearing in mind.

Interpretation panels nearby to explain the derelict Ingersely Mill that the waterfall feeds

If this was in the Lake District it would be a star attraction. Fortunately it isn't, so it remains very quiet and relatively unvisited. The approach from Bollington, past the derelict and dangerous Ingersley Mill, is interesting but worth it. Combine it with walks through Rainow, along Kerridge Hill and a visit to White Nancy and you have an excellent outing. But don't tell too many people otherwise it will lose its quiet charm.
