Lots of history! Great staff! And you have the opportunity to even try on costumes and experience with the historical armoury free of charge! (Unfortunately we were in a slight hurry as we were on a tight schedule) but the staff a extremely welcoming and passionate to share the history. The tanks and trucks outside you can walk right up to and get some amazing photos that other museums would normally have roped off. I even got a photo with my little blue car ???? next to the monster size tank something I would be unlikely be able to do anywhere else. Great place for sure!!!!

We went yesterday & my boys (8 & 5) had a brilliant time. We spent about 3.5hrs here - mostly on the assault course! The staff we lovely, we had two different men teaching the boys about guns through history & they enjoyed dressing up in various military helmets/hats/uniform (my boys, not the staff!)

Really enjoyed the museum, staff were really helpful and keen to talk about everything on show. Well worth stopping by if you are in the area. Definitely lots to see in all the buildings

One of the best museums I've visited with kids, a real gem of a place. Both kids (7yo boy and 11yo girl) absolutely loved it and were totally captivated. We arrived shortly after opening when it was super quiet which made for an even better experience
.
The kids loved being able to try on a few uniforms from different eras and there were lots of other tactile exhibits which really brought the whole experience to life.
The kids loved the assault course as well which is well placed next to the main building but still easily accessible. I especially liked the tanks!!

The staff on site were brilliant and very knowledgeable. Even better the kids seemed to respond well to them which is no mean feat.

I'm quite surprised we haven't been before as we don't live far away and will definitely be back within the year to make the most of our tickets (valid for 12 months).

This is a great museum filled with fascinating facts & exhibits covering Aldershot town's history and heritage, together with a multitude of British Army artifacts and miltary combat vehicles. Spent an afternoon here to absorb everything in detail, but could all be seen in much less time as a relatively small museum. There is a small cafe with gift shop, toilet facilities, ample free car parking and is run by dedicated volunteers. Admission fee includes unlimited free visits for a year. Highly recommended!

Lovely little community museum with the well done exhibits including AV elements. Treasure hunt games for the kids made it appealing to youngsters as well as the various military vehicles and obstacle course. Hands on gun and uniform demos added a little sparkle to an interesting day and the cafe, although basic provided everything we needed for an end of tour snack. Will go and again and recommend to others with young families.

I've lived in Aldershot for thirteen years without visiting, then went along with some friends. It's a small bit interesting museum, with sections on local and military history, and I'm very pleased we went. Very friendly staff, not too busy, and plenty to see.

Fascinating, as much a social history museum as a military museum in the context of the Army's connection with Aldershot. Very friendly staff and a knowledgeable and amusing veteran on hand to share a tale or two. Some of the vehicles look like they need a bit of TLC but if we all visit, that'd help the cause no doubt.

We spent a couple of hours there and that would about cover it at a non-hectic pace. But we could have spent longer, just taking it all in - and we can, as the entry tickets are valid for a year.

I understand they do days where you can go in the vehicles but that wasn't on the day we went... oh well, a good excuse to go back.

The National Serviceman Mannequin is spooky par excellence - enjoy!
