This is a great hotel for Gatwick south, reasonable price on rooms, which we had two and for access to the airport, as there is a shuttle bus, which is 24/7, you do have to pay for it though. The things that let it down, they put us on the ground floor, so not a great view (car park), but the room was clean and lots of room.

We ate in the restaurant, which had the air con on full blast, so although we dressed for the weather, warm, we were actually freezing and asked if the air con could be put down, which they said someone else had already asked and they were trying. Nothing changed through our meal and we had to eat quickly, as food was getting cold. Nothing was said to us about it, after we had asked for it to be warmer. The other thing, was the price of the food, for what you got, which was high and I know they have a captive market, as most people staying would eat there, but we have said at other Holiday Inns and it should not make a difference if you stay in an airport one or not, the food should match the price you pay and should be good value, which we feel it was not and hence, went back to our rooms, rather than ordering more drinks/food and I think a lot of people did that, as there was not many people around.

Ideal hotel for Gatwick flights. Stayed many times. Breakfast buffet well stocked and varied. Staff always accommodating and helpful. It has a regular shuttle bus to both South & North Terminal (todays prices are £4.50 single, £8 open return)

Check in was fast and easy with good parking, the rooms are clean and large. The restaurant is bright and airy with a good menu that's prices are comparable to local pubs. Service was great from the staff and Piotr was especially friendly and helpful. The pizzas are fantastic and the wine offer is even better!!!! 5*

I am having the best stay at the holiday inn Gatwick airport! The staff are absolutely wonder and the most helpful people I have ever encountered!! A huge special shout-out to Daria and Cristina for being so thoughtful and kind to me during my stay and providing me with the best service ever!! I had so many last minute personal problems and they helped me through every step of the way and ensured my stay would be amazing!! So thankful for them, they are truly the best!!!

We stayed here before a morning flight and got hardly any sleep. The bed and pillows were really uncomfortable and the air con didn't cool the room at all, so it was really hot. You could also hear everyone around you in the hotel as the walls were so thin (people pulling cases along the corridor, slamming doors, talking in the rooms) so the combination of all these things meant we barely slept.
The only good thing was the breakfast, which was a really nice buffet.

Had a wonderful 2 nights stay at London Gatwick hotel, Povey Road.
The room was clean and the minibar was very much appreciated????????
The staff were excellent but I must say a huge thank you to 2 particular members of Staff:
Firstly, Daria on reception. She was very attentive, informative, knowledgeable and helpful.
Secondly, Bradley in the restaurant. What an absolute gem.! With his smile, you could tell that he loved his job and he was a people’s person.
Two great assets to your company. They were so good, I would sign them up myself. They both made a great impression to both myself and my wife.
We hope to see you again very soon????

Honestly a great place to stay before your flight. Even if you’re at the opposite terminal, there is a bus that stops right outside the hotel and can take you there at all times.

The staff were really friendly, and the room itself was clean, nice, and really big with a comfy bed.

Overall I would definitely stay here again when flying early from Gatwick

I have stayed here before and was happy to book again. I can confirm that everything is as stated on the IHG website.

In particular, I was impressed by the efficiency of the staff when checking in and checking out. The room and hotel facilities remain perfect for my requirements.

I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.
