Great place to go walking. Caters for a wide range of interests from Birdwatching at the nearby RSPB site, to sites of historical significance (although these are not well signposted) such as the St Patrick's Well, Covenanters Oak, or the Listening Cave. There is also a beautiful Japanese Garden with a wide range of plants to see.

A well managed estate/park. Excellent walks along the Clyde.
Lot's of historical sites and beautiful views.

Great place for a walk and to enjoy some nature and bird watching. Some
Interesting little finds throughout such as the Japanese garden, an old closed off abandoned bridge and the small graveyard and mausoleum.

Really lovely place - very much a hidden gem in Motherwell. Great dog walking, could easily spend a few hours here. I walked for 1.5 hours non stop and still never seen everything!

One of the most beautiful and tranquil places for a walk (or run, or cycle) in and around Lanarkshire. So much history, so many hidden nooks and crannies. You can also walk from here onto the Clyde walkway. Also just along from Dalzell is the old Saint Michael's Graveyard which is a local gem, almost unheard of by outsiders.
