Staying for a short break in Castle Douglas I unfortunately had to attend an appointment in dumfries hospital. I ordered a taxi yesterday 10th April from Lochside caravan park and the car arrived at 15.50. Speedy order paid in advance lovely spotless car and the driver was fantastic, sadly didn't get his name. Lovely chat and a few laughs made my daunting appointment fade into the background
Ordered another taxi to pick me up take me to chemist and then back to Castle Douglas. Again speedy dispatch spotless car and another fantastic driver who made the journey home so pleasant. Please pass my regards to these two drivers they are a credit to your company and deserve recognition.
I would order your taxis if I was back in the area before all others.

If there was a big enough taxi company that would start up to take this company on and gave good service then it would make a fortune as you cannot rely on them whatsoever. Always late. Make sure if you do book, then to get it 15-20 minutes before you really need it. Never once have they been on time and on one occasion they cancelled it saying I phoned the night before which I told them was a lie so the boss says I can get the recording of it to prove you cancelled it, so I asked him too. Oh sorry he said it was someone else that cancelled, it wasn’t you. We can send one out but it will be about 40 minutes, is that ok!!. No it’s not ok as I was heading for the train station but they refused to send it any earlier so I had to drive and pay for the parking there. Then another time the driver refused to come to our house as it’s rural and about 7 miles outside Dumfries and they didn’t bother sending another one. When I phoned they just said we can’t send another taxi as we are busy. I had this taxi booked for days! They complain they don’t have enough drivers but I understand why nobody would want to work for them with their poor reputation.

Ordered a taxi for 8:30 and had waited 40 minutes. Was then told taxi driver had accepted and had went home! Absolutely outrageous. Have their number plate and everything (beige Skoda) Do not recommend at all!!

Booked a taxi 12 hours in advance to then be left waiting and told they had no record of the booking. Terrible service, unreliable and unprofessional.

I booked 2 taxis weeks ago in readiness for a wedding that we are attending on Sunday. I have just had a call cancelling the booking (3 days before the wedding). With an excuse that I spoke to someone new snd she should never have taken the booking. Wonderful service!! We are travelling from South Wales and now have to find a company to take 7 adults to and from wedding in a place that is unfamiliar and at such short notice. I’m really disappointed.

Excellent taxi service. I ordered several, could pay in advance and when the driver couldn't find us to pick up they phoned and ensured they could find us. Much appreciated when the taxi had been arranged for someone with mobility concerns. Would definitely use again

Our car broke down and we needed a transfer to our hotel in Dumfries.. With 3 Old English Sheepdogs! The driver was an absolutely wonderful guy. A couple of days later the Dutch AA didn't do what they promissed so I called McLeans again for a transfer to Newcastle ferry terminal. Luckily the same driver was working and he made our day by driving us there! 2hrs to get there 2hrs back but he was sharing stories so time flew by. Thanks again for taking our stress away and not being fussed about the hair in your car????
