Fairly priced chips for me and the family.
Seemed to be very clean and staff friendly enough but wasn’t quite a 5 star experience. Felt like something was missing from the experience but food tasted nice

I was visiting the historic town of Battle today, and was hungry and fancy fish & chips. Popped into this chippy and had a lovely crispy small cod with chips and sauces. The cod fish was chunky white boneless as fresh as it can be, as well as tender crispy to perfection! Chips was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Reasonable priced. Lovely place will come again!????

The worst fish and chips that I’ve ever eaten! I say eaten but I only actually had about 5 chips and a quarter of the cod. I would have brought it back to get a refund but I was only in Battle for a few hours so didn’t have time. The chips were hard and mostly black so clearly using old mouldy spuds. They also had a nasty taste of oil on them so possibly from the day before. The fish was full of bones and batter was soggy. Disappointing. The only plus point was the service was fast and friendly. I shall not be returning but hopefully they up their game.

They forgot to include all of the whole order and didn’t offer an appropriate remedy. It’s on them to check the order is complete and this isn’t hard to do. The food is nice.

I'm so annoyed with this dump that I'm giving it one star tonight. I'll either calm down tomorrow and remove the review, chalking it up to random failure, or change it to a more detailed version of events. Suffice to say I've paid nearly 16 quid for 2 bags of grotty chips.

Cannot recommend taylors fish bar too highly very impressed beautiful chunky chips I had the huss (rock) which was very nicely cooked lovely helpful staff warning gets busy I went on a Monday evening and it was constantly busy then

This chippy makes the most delicious chips, the fish is always very good too. I use this plaice regularly and have always cod a good service

Best fish and chips in the area, the chips are great and not too greasy, which I find with a lot of fish and chip shops.
