Delightful little stone circle around 15 mins walk from the village of Belstone which is minutes off the A30.
Dates back to the bronze age and seems to have 16 stones so where the name came from l can't imagine.
Pleasant place, great views and a good break from driving

Easy walk from Belstone car park, up the end of the lane by the South West Water office, there's a very small spa e for parking there if you'd rather not walk through the village, but village is beautiful and not to be missed. Approx 35 to 40 min walk to the nine stone circle, very atmospheric and great views of the river valley and Higher Tor.

Stone circle on Dartmoor, can be visited by a fairly short and easy walk from the village of Belstone, or you can add in the tors adjacent for a more adventurous walk

A fairly well preserved Bronze Age stone circle near the village of Belstone. Original a cairn burial, but later robbed out. Easily walkable from the car park at Belstone village or you can cycle. An atmospheric site and there are nice views over North Dartmoor

The stone circle is easy to reach, you can park near the gate at the end of the street.
Unfortunately, because of that, it was full of people doing a pic-nic and I couldn’t take a better picture of the stones or enjoy the silence and the wind as I hoped.

A beautiful spot on the moors. Such tranquillity. The stones are steeped in history and mystery. Just magical.

Set in a beautiful location close to Belstone Tor. Easy to walk to with good ground under foot
