Called in on spec.A wide ranging menu with adult special offers .We had Scampi and Chips and Lasagne ,garlic bread and side salad .
Followed by dessert of Chocolate Fudge cake and Ice cream and Apple biscotti pie and ice cream. With drinks.Good food friendly staff and great price .

First time we have been in the merchant, it was very busy but my husband and I managed to get a table. My husband decided to have the full breakfast, and when I say full, that's exactly what it was. I felt sure he wouldn't be able to eat it all, but he did. He said it was delicious ????. I had scampi, chips and garden peas. It was ok, but I thought the chips were a bit dry. But it won't stop us from going back. The staff were very attentive, and the service was excellent ????

Came to The Merchant for lunch today, from the moment I stepped up to the bar I received fantastic service. Ellie was so welcoming and friendly to me and so patient and kind to me when I placed my order even though it was busy at the time. The food was served piping hot and could tell it was freshly cooked. All of the staff were absolutely wonderful and an absolute credit to the pub. Thank you again for the great experience

Food is fantastic and always really nice but mainly keep coming back for Sarah. Best server I could ask for, friendly, remembers your order and makes great recommendations. Keep doing great, Sarah!

A bit of a poor showing as when we arrived was greated with a notice saying the grill had been switched off due to the excessive heat and for the well-being of the kitchen staff. Now it was warm, but this was June, and it was about 26 to 27 degrees will be interesting to see what happens if the temp goes over 30

Today I visited for lunch and from the moment I walked in I felt so welcomed. We received so much help from a wonderful young girl, Havana, and felt as if we could ask as many questions as we’d like. We can’t wait to visit again!!

Great place for food and drink, really friendly atmosphere. Always made to feel welcomed, spacious and clean. Food selection and prices is always very good. Great host for gatherings when I've arranged family and friends to meet for a meal. All staff are very friendly and helpful. Never a bad meal or experience.
