They are no more accepting outsiders than Dollar and Thrifty rent a cars.

My usual vehicle service station with Good quality work for value for the money.

We travelled to this car park from our holiday home at Stanhope.
Nice quiet scenic drive to the car park. The car park access is very uneven for cars / campers / motorhomes, but a slow speed should see you right.
Lots of woolly backs just grazing and Baaa-ing whilst I took some pics.
The car park would be nice for a night stop-over (ex motorhomer) and a bit of star gazing.
Unfortunately, the access down to the reservoir was blocked by a barrier. Not a problem for mobile people but a hindrance for people with mobility issues.

Walked the circular path from the car park to the reservoir and back. Liked it so much we carried on toward Lanchester. Absolutely wonderful wild British country side. Red kites, linnets, curlews, sky larks, lap wings and red grouse, how delightful. There are limited parking places at the car park.

A beautiful spot to enjoy the view but spoilt by litter. The car park has terrible pot holes on the way in so it could do with some tlc.

First time here. It's certainly lovely but because it's so open the wind was bitterly cold. We done a short walk and headed back to the car. Will definitely be going back for a longer walk, just maybe when it heats up a bit.

Darksky area, saw 10 plus shooting stars in less than an hour.... Stunning sunset and sunrise with cloud inversion ???????? superb 13-14/8/2022

Great views ,Nice mixture of ramblers and cyclists.. We went off track onto the moor which gave us even better views..dont forget your binoculars, The carpark is on the small side maybe 10 cars but its free so thats a bonus ????

Nice little remote location, great place for a walk or bike ride. Certainly will be back again, some beautiful heather blanketing the moors this time of year

Lovely little walk down to the reservoir, nice for dogs however there are a few signs asking to keep your dog on a leash, there is also a small car park that fits about 10 cars maybe, normally empty as this place isn't a massive attraction, which is great I think.
