Just one iconic example of the superb architecture of the Garrison estate that has been sensitivity converted to private housing.
There are numerous buildings that show how care and effort was put into the build quality of the complex when it was used by the military - and it stands today as a testament to what can be achieved with this level of commitment.

The plaque on the cannon plinth under the clock tower is wrong. Gladeale homes mixed the cannons up before putting some on display. Most of them got sold on eBay.

It's a clock, in the old shoeburyness garrison.
Certainly not worth going out your way to visit, unless you really like clock's.

I happened to be passing through and noticed that my watch had stopped so I just looked up over my shoulder and there was the time on display on the clock tower! And best of all - it was free! I'm not going to bother wearing a watch any more. If ever I need to know the time I will just drive here.
