A MUST VISIT If you are looking to buy spices, dryfruit and chocolates at Reasonable and Honest Prices. Prices are MUCH CHEAPER HERE, compared to touristy shops in the centre of Meena Bazaar. I picked up 1KG Premium Whole Green Cardamom @ 90AED! here compared to other shops selling between 120-160AED.

Ali Akbar Asadi general trading is located in Bur Dubai opposite to Abra station (Bur Dubai). This shop sells wide range of products - Spices, Lentils, Grains, Dry-fruits, Chocolate, Dates and much more!

Prices are quite cheaper and around 30-45% less compared to supermarkets like Carrefour/Spinneys/Lulu. You can also find less quality dry fruits at much cheaper rates.

Only drawback of this shop is that prices are not displayed and bargaining works at this shop like Spice souk/market.

If you are planning to buy in bulk, do negotiable the price.

Nice place where you can buy dry fruits different varieties of chocolate
With suitable rates

The owner also gives you gifts if you buy more number of items

Not a great place for shopping !!

Dont trust sales person in the shop, the prices they give to each customer is not the same, sales person is trained to extract maximum amount from you. the cashier will not show you final bill before taking money from you and later you find they have added VAT, while purchasing sales person will never tell you price is exclusive of VAT. Overall not a good experience and feel little cheated and was forced to pay more money.

Extremely rude manager and staff.
If you will enquire about price and not buy they won’t even respond and will literally harass you.

Plenty of shops in Meena bazaar offering much better price and quality.

The staff misbehaved in front of manager and manager just sat there and smiled.

A humble request not to promote such culture by avoiding such people.

Hope it helps fellow tourists.

Very good place with wide range of raisins, peanuts, sweets, etc at very reasonable prices. Inside is clean, polite staff and full of local people which proves high quality standard. Highley recommended to step in!
