Now bring my own kids instead of being brought....
Visiting for over 50 years, exactly what you expect from such a river crossing.

Gets busy in the school Summer holidays, but even then not excessively so.

Lovely place to go. Kids and dogs love it. Must check weather incase flash floods. Nice wildlife and children loved watching fish and ducks

Very well maintained, it's a lovely place for a walk I have driven past many time but never stopped to take a walk about the area, I would definitely recommend it.

Ford at Stanhope, not in Use. Dales visitor centre with limited parking. River walk. Lots little I dependant shops, little eateries. Lovely little stop on wear Dale.
