When recently wishing to see a doctor, I was able to book in advance. The option of e-consult & telephone consultation is an advantage. Doctor was friendly and listened & also involved me in the plan of action

Sometimes it is difficult to get an appointment for the same day you telephone. Usually offered 1 or 2 days later which in some cases is not suitable.

I’ve used this surgery quite a few times. Some of the low reviews might be justified to those who posted them, but I can’t in all honesty agree with all that’s been said.

My biggest moan is not being able to book an appointment a week or two, or more, in advance. You have to ring up at 08:00 on the day you want to attend. For some this might work, but I’ve very rarely succeeded. By around 09:00-09:30 all the appointments for that day will have gone so your stuffed until the following working day.

One reason I was told about ringing on the day for an appointment is because so many people used to book appointments and just didn’t bother to turn up, amend or cancel them if their circumstances or work changed. To combat this after repeatedly missing appointments I’d make a charge of say £40. If you attend promptly your money would then be refunded. Likewise, if you ring to cancel or change the time/date giving a minimum of 24 hours notice your money would again be safe. However, to simply do nothing and failing to attend, thus wasting the doctor’s time, would mean that £40 is immediately forfeited. This action would I’m sure stop lazy/careless people missing appointments in their tracks!

The 1 star is so I can actually post a review!
This surgery deserves no stars.
You ring every morning at 8am to be told there’s no appointment, and to ring back tomorrow.
The receptionist who answers most days could do with some training on empathy and compassion as she has no sympathy for patients in need of seeing a doctor due to illness.
Sharon on the other hand has always gone above and beyond but is rarely there!
Doctors don’t seem to want to work since covid!
My poor mum has been suffering for over a week because nobody can be bothered to help her.

There is a reason for the poor reviews - because they accurately describe the lack of interest shown by staff when responding to the most simplest request. Everything and anything, it seems, it too much trouble. The pandemic has given this practice an excuse to follow other surgeries in a race to the bottom. No face to face appointments and telephone appointments are not kept. It's a disgrace. An absolute disgrace.

Can never get an appointment, reception staff are rude most of the time and they honestly don't care about the people having to use this service. I feel sorry for anyone who also has this practice as their GP.

Yesterday called to book an appointment for my little one, they said they haven’t got any more appointments available, although my child was struggling in pain with an infection. They have advised me to call tomorrow. Then because my child’s health was getting worse I have called 111, which have said I will receive a call from my GP before noon.
This morning call them at 8 o’clock sharp and the answering machine was telling me they’re having a training day, and I call was redirected twice towards The GP practice that they fusion with. The other GP practice said they don’t cover for them today as they are open, they probably would’ve forgotten to turn on their phone!!!! So I’ve tried calling back again but again I was diverted, decided to call 111 again. Finally here I am waiting for a call from a different GP but in the meantime I have received a message that I need to call my GP tomorrow again. Are they mocking us?
The person that yesterday told me that they haven’t got any more appointments didn’t bother to tell me they’re having a training day today, even advised to call today at 8!!!and now I have to call them again tomorrow, meanwhile my child is suffering in unnecessary pain because of their “professionalism”
