My daughter attended Craighead Country Nursery for 4 years and loved it from the start. The staff are exceptional and have provided invaluable learning experiences. She particularly enjoyed baking, crafting, visiting the farm animals and walking to the river. She has made great friendships along the way and strong bonds with the staff. They always keep you updated on your child’s learning journey and share photographs of achievements and experiences. As a teacher myself who values outdoor learning I can honestly say that Craighead Country Nursery offers this in abundance in all weather situations and staff are really supportive of this. They also provide delicious healthy snacks and meals throughout the day. We are forever grateful to them for giving our daughter the best start in her learning journey.

My son attended Craighead and daughter currently attends. It is literally the most perfect nursery. A beautiful location, amazing purpose-built building. Fabulous, engaging and exciting outdoor space including access to a working farm, fields, has animals to visit, a burn and forest areas! Home-cooked meals and snacks using local ingredients where possible. Staff; 5-star! happy, friendly, nurturing & passionate and always go above and beyond to make your little one’s experience at nursery the best it can be. Owner is always looking for feedback to continue improve and acts on suggestions. Communication about your little one via the App throughout it the day is lovely. Would 100% recommend with no hesitation!

Craighead Country Nursery School is a positive, friendly environment with a focus on each individual child’s personalities and needs.

The Forest School was a highlight for our son with welcoming, knowledgeable staff. An innovative and creative setting where the children spend their day outdoors in the open air and enjoy homemade lunches and snacks by the campfire. With outdoor arts and crafts stations to cosy hammocks for enjoying some daytime slumber. The whole setting is very impressive and a safe haven for all the children to learn and grow.

Regular updates are given verbally, written and online to keep you up to date with your child’s development.

The whole nursery goes above and beyond all expectations and we are so very grateful to the staff for giving our son the best possible start to his education!

We had a long wait to get our son into Craighead nursery and we haven’t regretted it! The nursery caters well for the children in all areas including the room, outdoor space, home cooked meals and staff. Our son has received excellent care and attention from the wonderful staff. Elspeth has really supported us with navigating this new world of nursery life, couldn’t recommend enough.

Craighead is the very best.

This is not just a nursery but a place were experiences are created and memories made.

Both children have been at Craighead since being 1 , the have developed great communication skills along with practical skills. Both has showed independence when it comes to day to life due to the life skills they have been shown.
Both have had great friendship with fellow pupils and strong relationship with staff members, who really do go above and beyond.
Updates on your children’s development is through a learning journal which shows experiences and achievements.
The kids always like to remind me that nursery food is better than my own cooking, a varied menu for lunch and dinner along with snacks.

I simply wouldn’t have my kids anywhere else.

Both our Children currently attend the nursery! Three years we have used this nursery for! We wouldn’t dream of sending them anywhere else now!! The staff are amazing, they nurture and encourage wee people! the resources are varied and inspire child led play, the facilities and resources are much more than can be offered at home, for example interaction with other children their age and importantly the outdoor experiences! Both the children enjoy their days at nursery! The App keeps us updated on what they have had to eat what naps and BMs they have, so much detail as well as photos and updates at the end of each day to see what they have been up to! It’s worth every penny for their early years development!!

A welcoming friendly and adventurous nursery. Brilliant setting for all the wee ones to get so much time outside and develop so many skills. Amazing communication and fantastic nursery staff make the whole experience brilliant and soon it's a home away from home for the little ones.

An amazing nursery, right in the heart of Ayrshire. Both my children have attended, and I couldn’t have asked for a better start for them in their education. The opportunities they have got are brilliant, plenty of fresh air and nothing is ever a problem. Can not recommend Craighead Country Nursery enough. Just wish the parents could stay and play too!!!
