What a find!! We visited the Hope & Anchor on a gloriously sunny Friday evening and we were lucky enough to find a table outside. The food was fantastic and the views were lovely. The staff were amazing and very attentive and we were made very welcome. My only point would be the ability to book an outdoor table would be a huge plus point going forward.

Lovely place, good menu with varied choices to suit everyone the staff are exceptional being helpful and friendly. Food very tasty and well presented. It is definitely worth the drive out and I would recommend booking as it seemed very popular.

Only been once just for a meal with my girlfriend and we were pleasantly surprised. A nice welcome and an excellent meal. If you like your meat and your seafood, I don't think you will be disappointed! Interesting location with a nice view of the Estuary. We need to visit again.

Wow wow wow. This is the best dinning experience I've ever had. Went for our wedding anniversary. Service outstanding. Recommend Chicken schnitzel, chateaubriand, haddock and cheese board. Great atmosphere and stunning views!

Pictures of the room is deceiving not what I was led to believe, I prefer instant coffee, none to be had. The French waiter was unbelievably rude and offensive to me as was the bartender. Very overpriced for what it is, still relying on awards gained 3yrs ago, would struggle to achieve any because of their attitude.

I thoroughly enjoyed the food but felt the portions were small.
Service was slow. Took 50 minutes to get mains out, so before we ordered dessert we asked how long.
Told 5 to 10 minutes, after 15 minutes still no desserts.
When we pointed out the long wait to the manager, we were informed all the food was cooked to order and not microwaved!!!

A totally amazing lunch with Mum here today. A lovely Early Mother's Day card for us was left. Gorgeous view from the window. Staff were so super friendly and helpful. Then the food. Wow. Had to be the best meal I had in ages. The steak and prawns I had were cooked to perfection. The walnut side salad was a nice touch too! So many chips mum and I had to share. The icing on the cake was the rhubarb and vanilla creme brulée... deliciously sweet and sour! The sorbe I could have eaten a whole tub of it. Thank you so much for such an enjoyable afternoon. We will be back for sure!

Went for the father's day set menu, the food was incredible and definitely reflects the price, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food did take a while to be prepared but it was incredibly busy at the time. Overall a fantastic Pub, amazing food, a little pricey but definitely worth it.
