Had a fantastic time in the mine ???? the museum has some interesting bits but the mine tour is the gem of it all. Tickets last all year as well.

Very Interesting place to visit. The museum is reasonably priced and definitely worth a visit if you like your history. The cave tour is good but don't expect wonders. The cave is o ly around 250 yds long but still very much worth a visit

A fascinating museum full of interesting exhibits & much bigger than expected. Good for children & adults. Some interactive exhibits too. Detailed, but straightforward, explanations of items on display. Nice shop too.
We also toured the mine, which was equally enjoyable. Our guide Chris explained everything clearly from all the mining processes, through all the hazards miners faced, to the different ores found & their uses.

We only stopped because it was raining but we are very happy we did. Great value for money at £11.50 each for over 60s. This included the excellently designed and presented museum along with a great guided tour of the mine that is across the road. It does involve some stooping as you walk in the shafts and walking boots recommended. The guide was very informative and had a nice delivery and knowledge. I highly recommend this as a place to stop. The cafe across the road the 196 coffee lounge was very good.

Fantastic museum, the collection of minerals is great as well the interactive parts. My kids really enjoyed the visit. Also I highly recommend Temple Mine tour, it’s worth taking.

This is a lovely museum, which tells a story of the extensive lead mining industry which used to exist in the surrounding area. It deals with the people and technology used. The museum has some great artifacts from the surrounding area. A tour of a lead mine on the opposite side of the road is also available as an additional cost. This is well-worth it. The guide was knowledgeable and interesting, and the small tunnels give a very good idea of the conditions.

Fantastic museum with a lot to see, very well presented and enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff. Plenty to interest children and for them to engage with. Our grandchildren really enjoyed the mine visit and absolutely loved the (fool's) gold panning! Highly recommended.

Lovely little find with this museum today not overly big but the man who was working there very helpful and kind and knowledgeable really enjoyed it and learnt some new facts ????
