Really tasty food and a great range of options! The staff are incredibly friendly and very helpful and accommodating. Great local spot

Very nice meal with authentic flavours. I’m always a bit concerned when I see a menu as large as the one La Pizzeria offer, but everything we had was very good. We started with the Caprese salad with some fresh bread and olives. I then went for the seafood pizza, which was delicious although I feel there was a little too much cheese on it. My partner had a chicken tagliatelle dish which she enjoyed but said it could have been better seasoned during cooking. The restaurant itself is small but cosy and nicely laid out. Everything is spotlessly clean and the service is both friendly and attentive. Would recommend

We where recommend to have the Mojos Seafood staff party at La Pizzeria. Lovely atmosphere we where a bit loud but the other dinners where Lovely people and we chatted freely.
I started off with the cream and garlic mushrooms. WOWZER the flavours where out of this world. Main course was fillet steak saltad potatoes and seasonal veg" GET IN THERE" Mr chef! Fantastic. The rest of the group where all bowled over with there food.
The owner is the chef. Lovely chap
made us feel so welcome. Great value spot on grub.
Thanks to everyone at La Pizzaeria for a fantastic evening.

Reviews are deceptive in this case as we have not found that great sicilian restaurant we were expecting.
An Italian restaurant with many British adapted recipes was found instead.

Don't get me wrong, food was good, but it could have been better.
We trusted our Italian palate and went for some recipes that were closer to our taste, and overall the food was OK, though we had difficulties with digestion.
E.g. my pizza aubergines were not fully cooked, and that was a bit disturbing.

We had also arancini as a starter, okish but without the traditional water drop shape and a bit of strange filling.

A cannolo and a lemon cheesecake completed the lunch, but the latter was deepen in cream and the first made without the right quantity of ricotta Cheese and not following the real recipe, rather than covered with hot chocolate.

That said, we couldn't find sicilian wines from the area were the owner comes from. Not really good IMHO.
Finally, the cost of water was disproportionate to the rest. A 75ml panna water cost £2.5 each.

Recommend by a friend. Nice atmosphere. The food was good and there is a good selection of wine. We all had pasta two vegetarian mushroom Florentines and one meat balls. We had sweets too but the savoury food was best.

Very fast and hot food, very accommodating staff and really tasty food at incredibly reasonable prices. Would definatley go again.

Went to La Pizzeria before a show at the Palace Theatre, the food was delicious, it's a small restaurant but the staff were really friendly. It was an excellent start to our evening.
