Great wind pump amazingly in working order, you can climb to the top for panoramic views. Small car park. Only a small attraction bit walks also a from the site. Plus horsey gap only 5 minutes away, for some seal spotting.

There is a large pay and display car park, parking is free for blue badge holders. There is a small tearoom with outside seating. The tea room sells hot and cold drinks and snack. There was a queue when we arrived so we didn't wait to be served. There is a £6.50 cost per adult to entre the wind pump (dogs are not allowed inside). There was a lady explaining the history. You are then able to climb the stairs. The waterway had lots of boats sailing up and it appeared that boat trips could be booked there, although we didn't do this. A lovely place to stop and take in the sights.

Great to see inside the windmill. Loads of information boards and while we visited, there was a guide chatting to visitors answering questions about the mill. It was interesting to find out that this mill was to help with water levels rather than grinding flour which was my naive belief about windmills.
We were limited for time, but you could easily spend a good hour here. Views from up the mill was great. There is also a large carpark, toilets and a snack hut with food and drink at good prices. Parking and the mill entrance is free for National Trust members.
Inside the mill is not suitable for anyone with mobility problems, as it is a series of stairs more like ladders to access the various levels.
There is a signposted walk directly from here to the coast where you can see hundreds of seals .

One of the best experience. Very friendly staff amazed to hear the story of Windpump

And two staff at top of the wind pump explained with more love to the history.

Worth visit and I would say must visit if you are visiting around Norfolk

Lovely site which is currently being further developed in order to improve area for visitors. Enough room to park when we visited but it was a weekday. Great cafe for drinks, snacks and ice creams. Staff all very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. 60+ stairs to climb in the windpump building but it gives a good view of surrounding landscape and of course the mechanism (as well as getting close to a few resting swallows)
We enjoyed Ross's wildlife boat trip: saw a good variety of birds and his commentary was lively and educating.

Plenty to read about the windpump. The staff were friendly and knew a lot about the place and coffee was nice from the shop

Charming windmill run by National Trust in the fantastic Norfolk countryside and right next to the Norfolk Broads there's a cafe hatch near by toilets and parking too the lady standing outside the windpump was friendly and chatting about the place I visited this place yesterday and the sun was shining around the outstanding countryside and reflections on the Broads

Excellent place to walk away a few hours. My husband and I walked our two dogs from the Windpump in a bit circle to the beach and back. Beautiful scenery and easy to park.
