A wonderful alternative to the Long Walk. The Long Walk is a paved avenue from Windsor Castle to the Copper Horse. Queen Anne’s Ride is also an avenue (i.e. tree-lined), but is not paved - own grass. It is more of a horse gallop but is very well suited for walkers. You get some lovely views of the Castle and surrounding countryside and the Ride ends up near The Village which is worth seeing.

It's a different alternative to the long walk as it's wider and on a irregular surface (grass). You'll probably be able to see the deers in the other side of the fence and if you bring kids just keep walking until you find a playground. Ponds in this area are beautiful too.

Nice walk with our dog. Peaceful and a good view of the deer. Free parking and plenty of it.

A really good alternative to The Long Walk. Lovely views at the top of the walk.
