A place to stimulate learning for kids and adults alike with interactive presentations and activities. At first we thought it was a museum but then we realized it was a place for learning about everyday subjects and science. They have a play area for smaller kids and a library too. The key sections inside the learning spaces included some subjects about Middle East trade, desert survival, transportation, animals, cultures around the world, the human body and more. We totally underestimated the time we needed to spend there, if every section was to be observed and interacted with we needed about 3 to 4 hours or more. We visited after our time at the Dolphinarium next door so we realized we should have come here earlier. There are daily activities and a show at the mini planetarium, and some science shows like documentaries. There are fewer English program therefore it’s essential to check the schedule before visiting so that you can join at the right time. There’s a vending machine inside but not much options for food and drinks. A nice place to spend some time with kids. Adults might find it a little more boring if they aren’t getting involved in the learning.

This place has a looot of potential but it needs to be properly maintained. Please Dubai Municipality I would really suggest to take good care of it as it could really be an amazing place for kids.
- most of the exhibitions do not work or are closed.
- first floor is the best, do not waste your time in visiting the second floor. Nothing interesting, most of the activities are not working and there is no AC!!!
- it looks really old, needs to be modernized
- parking is an HUGE issue in summer, as there is a long way to the entrance without any shade
- the entrance is inside a park, and hence you have to pay the park entrance even of you are only going to the Children’s city!! For example, I paid 5 aed extra per person for nothing because it was July and in the morning so I did not enjoy the park! Why do I have to pay extra just to cross the park? I clearly mentioned I was going to visit only the Children’s City

An amazingly educative and fun place.

The walk from the parking to the venue can be “hot” during the summer.

We enjoyed it however, a few issues which we found a bit… out of order:

1. You need to pay entry ticket (5aed / person) when you enter the park. There is no way to get there without entering the park. While you buy the entry tickets into the park, you are also forced to buy a NOL card (AED 10) in order for you to be able to pass the gate…. It all sounds a bit useless and complicated for no reason.

2. The staff at the ticket counter (not in the park but in the actually “children city”) was pretty slow. While they were two (a lady and a gentleman) only one was selling tickets and that one was engage in customer service while the other one was observing the customer service. What’s the point of having two if they can’t compensate each other ?!

3. Loads of the activities are actually broken and not working. The “under Maintanance” sign is omnipresent while some, don’t work properly or at all, without the “under Maintanance” sign.

All in all, it was a nice afternoon in a very educative way for the kids. Too bad they have no eating options. We would have stayed to eat.

Total cost:

- park entry for 3 - 15 AED
- nol card to operate the park gate - 10 AED
- entry into the children city for 3 - 40 AED (family pack which can have 2 kids and 2 adults).

Female staff is very annoying.. they don't like kids running around. Other than that's its really good

Very impressive for kids, my 6 years old and 3 years both enjoyed every minute. We stayed almost 3 hours and we left in tears. It is educational, this is not a amusement park with rides.

Great place to spend a day. Kids will love it and learn at the same time. Lot of shows and activities. Shows are there in both english and arabic languages.

Ticket prices are quite reasonable.

Loved the museum type activity. Very educational for different ages. Highly recommend visiting this place.

Good place to hang out with family. You can explore the creek and chill. Barbeque place available and also garden for childrens.
