The most impolite and rude attitude I have ever experienced in my life visiting However I still hope it is the first and the last one. Spending around 8 years in hospitality industry, working for Marriott and IHG, I couldn’t even assume that it is possible in our modern world of hospitality. But it is as it is. And I want to leave this review for the only one purpose - to provide a room for improvement. As there is always something that can be improved.
Me and a friend of mine visited the reception area of the Club Joumana, which is located next to the bar, squash/badminton courts just to pay for wakeboarding course provided by Watercooled team and ask where to go to find our coach and boat. All of a sudden The reception clerk was extremely rude and impolite with us without even trying to cover her irritation. It reminded me this old school service back to the USSR.
I’m not completely sure what made this lady sad, and frankly speaking don’t want to try. But I know how people in hospitality especially the ones from the front line have to act and serve guests/visitors whoever they are.
To make this long story short I just want to bring it to your attention. Maybe you can schedule then some additional training sessions for the front office stuff or supervisors to pay some more attention to the psychological conditions of the on duty staff.

P.S. what helped us to correct our experience is the professionalism and guest-centric attitude of our wakeboard instructor Semen from Watercooled team.

The location is poor. The facility is quite good. The restaurant is horrible. I once sat 15 mins waiting for a waiter. I eventually stood up and left, and no one batted an eye. Very disappointed and would not recommend anyone to visit.

Well as a member, this is one of our favourite perks of living in JA, Dubai. Even with COVID measures, food quality has been great. Service is spot on and we feel safe(r) coming here

Awful food, that came about 5 minutes after we ordered. Zero service standards, no check back. I guess they knew not to ask if everything was ok with the meal. Steer well clear!

The badminton court is extremely disappointing. Unfortunately we drove 30 min for a tight space area in the middle of the club with kids and people walking around.

Such a waste of time the club

The golf course is impeccable and the beef burger at the restaurant bar is the star!

Good gym offering everything you need to workout. You can even play squash inside.
