We recently visited Copala restaurant in DIFC known for its mexican food and the ambience that makes you feel that you are in Mexico! There is excellent variety of food for vegetarians and non-vegetarians in every category from starters, soups and salads, side dishes apart from main course to mouth watering desserts. Actually my mouth is still watering for warm house made churros. Absolute yum to the core!

Friendly staff, warm hospitality, fresh food is all that you need when you go to a restaurant and this fine dining restaurant has it all.

Non alcoholic beer is a good try apart from my all time favorite tamarind drink!

Was super excited to try out Copala after reading everyone’s reviews but I am sad to say we walk away disappointed!

To share amongst us 2, we ordered: Mexican Calabacitas (zucchini stew with cotija cheese), Quesabirria, Baja California Tacos, and Churros to end the meal. They served us popcorn in a bowl on the house, which came with our bottle of sparkling water.

The zucchini in the Calabacitas was cooked well, not over done. But flavour was lackluster. Very little sprinkle of cotija cheese.

The pulled beef brisket in the Quesabirria was moist, but all I could taste was salt. The corn tortilla was soaked through and greasy, and perhaps that is the way it is supposed to be, but as it is my review I have to be blunt and say honestly it was not my kind of dish.

The Baja fish tacos had several small popcorn-like fish tempura pieces rather than one big piece of fish, which is what I’m used to. It was also leaning on the sweet side instead of spicy/tangy/savoury. Again, not my style.

Lastly the Churros — my first complaint is that the female server was texting on her phone with her bare hands and right after that she took the freshly fried churros to dip in the container of sugar. Without any gloves. Without any washing. That’s why this place got 2 stars. My second complaint about these churros (and I have eaten many churros during my visits to Spain) is that they were very fat, super doughy, and not tasting very fresh. Hard pass.

Really sad that this Mexican restaurant did not live up to its rating and reviews on Google. Would have liked to make this my go-to Mexican restaurant in Dubai but it was not meant to be.

If you are on a lookout for an original Mexican food with authentic taste, you need to try this place.
We had lunch with friends. The food was exceptionally delicious, especially the tostadas and Chicken Pastor tacos. Loved them. They have a range of veg, non veg, and vegan options. They also serve a range of non alcoholic beverages made from hibiscus and tamarind.

The place is highly Instagrammable. Loved the ambience. The interiors are a blend of modern yet vibrant and traditional touch. You get to experience true Latin culture vibes. The staff was also warm and friendly.

Lunch at @copaladubai

A Mexican extravaganza unfolded at lunch over the weekend at this beautiful restaurant at DIFC. Located in the Index mall, this pretty spot served authentic Mexican food with some great round drinks!
Started the meal with a bunch of the same but my favorite was Chamoy Beer (non alc.)
Next came in the food which included specially curated veg Toastadas, Veg Quesadillas, Nachos & Guac ???? and a lot more…
My favorites were the tostadas and the Guac which were served with a variety dips.
Not to forget, the warm churros which were crisp on the outside & heavily tender and flavorful from the inside stole the show…

Mexico ???????? calling ????

Service: There is incredible attention to detail - room temperature or cold water and whether I have allergies - I have never been asked this and am thrilled about it!

Atmosphere: very authentic and pleasant. Besides the pleasant music, the ambiance is incredibly detailed!

Food: At lunch we tried a combination of 6 different dishes prepared and served heartily! ???? Tostadas in appetizers, crispy corn tortillas with beans puree, cotija cheese, lettuce and potato strips. Tacos ????, guacamole with tortilla chips ???? For dessert, delicious churros. The taste and quality is outstanding!

In summary, Copala Dubai is a very good choice for a breakfast ????, lunch or dinner. We will definitely come back again! Thanks your serving this pieces of heaven in Dubai!

Love this little Mexican spot in the heart of the DIFC. We tried a variety of the traditional infused waters with tamarind and hibiscus and also the traditional Chamoy beer! Love the tortillas and all the dips, the spicy sauces were my fav!! The service was amazing and our server patiently explained every dish and I can also confirm they have delicious veggie dishes you should try! My fav was the tortilla soup and the Mexican refried beans with melted cheese ohh and don’t leave without trying their churros and the traditional Carlota ice cream cake!! Thoroughly enjoyed the food and the vibe of this place and will be back here again soon!

Mexican food is very beneficial in healthy digestion. A lot of Mexican dishes contain corn and beans. They are both rich in soluble fiber that keeps you feeling full and helps food to move through your digestive tract more quickly for healthy elimination.

@copaladubai is one of the best Mexican restaurant in Dubai so if you are craving for Mexican food go and visit.

Must try their gluten free tostadas and their authentic Drinks.

Staff is very efficient and even we met the owner she is so kind and greeted us very nicely❤️❤️

Specially thanks to @youthevegroup @food_tales_by_ishan @saurabhkishu for this invitation

Thank you so much @copaladubai for having us ❤️❤️
