We was on holiday and loved this pub so much, we went in every night we was there, wish this was my local, such a welcoming atmosphere, great food reasonable prices, very dog friendly and the staff was great too , thankyou for making our holiday extra special xx

What a great place. The staff were really friendly. We sat down, looked at the menu and there didn't seem to be a kids menu. (Stupidly I didn't ask at the bar) but there were plenty of things our little one would eat. I ordered from the welcoming lady behind the bar who was really nice. Then a guy came over and asked if we'd ordered as they had kids menus inside. (They blow away outside) he was really nice but we told him we were happy with the choice anyway. He then brought out a plate for our little one (as we'd ordered a few sides for her) and then he brought her food first so it had a chance to cool down. That's first rate customer care right there. On top of that, my wife left her phone on the table when we left. They tried chasing us down, but we'd gotten too far, but they kept it safe until we realised and collected it. So it's safe to say the staff are amazing. On top of that, the food was superb. My burger was tasty and juicy as well as the perfect size and the sides we ordered for the little one were so tasty, she polished them off! Something she very rarely does. Top marks, will definitely visit again and can highly recommend!

Had the lunch deal. Fish finger sub roll great chips and a pint / glass of wine. Very good food, beer and service, all at a reasonable price.

Went for a bottomless brunch for a friend’s 40th birthday. We were pretty disappointed with the selection of “cocktails” the girls behind the bar did their best but they weren’t up to any kind of cocktail standard:
Drink selection was pretty dire, general atmosphere was dingy and lacking, I just don’t think they are set up for bottomless brunches. food was nice apart from one meal but the lady did apologise. Hate to complain but I’ve been to a few bottomless brunches and they really need to up your game and offer something a bit more special with better drinks and service or don’t bother offering one.

Lovely pub, friendly people (behind the bar and in front). Great selection of drinks. Lovely food (I couldn't do the fish and chips justice, huge portion of fish! Well cooked and tasty. And my sister and niece enjoyed their vegetarian/vegan choices). Getting to be our "go to" pub for family celebrations. We will be back! :)

The food was ok. Crowd unnecessarily posh and generally unfriendly. Quite expensive considering the place itself. Ok, It's close to an architectural site. I give 3 stars. However, there's something missing in this pub which looks like a Spoon with high prices. There's some potential though.

Such lovely staff. Quick service and cannot fault it. Home to the oldest inn in Christchurch and some marvellous history

Really nice pub and great bar staff. We were out of towners but made to feel very welcome. Excellent Guinness! :) Keep up the good work.
