The Thames Barrier Park is a 22-acre park located in the Royal Docks area of East London, UK. It is situated on the northern side of the River Thames, offering a lovely view of the Thames Barrier, one of the largest movable flood barriers in the world.

The park, designed by French landscape architects Allain Provost and Alain Cousseran, opened in 2000 as a new public space for the community. It features a variety of landscape design elements, including a 550-meter long sunken garden, called the Green Dock, which is designed to reflect the former docklands heritage of the site. The park also features fountains, tree-lined pathways, and flower gardens.

The Thames Barrier Park provides a tranquil space in the heart of a bustling city, and it's a great place for relaxation, picnics, and walks. The park is also home to a café and a children's playground, offering something for everyone. Park is in a best location where you can view the Thames river, there are many gym items you can exercise, kid’s games, Also walking around the Thames river would be refreshing

A small neatly maintained park close to the Thames Flood Barrier offering plenty of space for dog walkers, children, and those who wish to use the gym equipment.

Beautiful park besides the riverside. Parking is the locality is a bit on the downside however easily accessible with bus and also DLR. The park itself is beautiful and clean, and the LO’s enjoyed the children’s park. We took our own picnic but there is a cafe and toilet facilities but unfortunately not open today due to bank holiday.

Lovely clean park by the Thames Barrier in East London. Reachable by DLR. lots of cute dogs and there are benches and areas to sit and relax to the views of the river Thames. Cafes and pub nearby.
Parking may be a bit difficult, but otherwise great place to go.

Love coming here with something to do for the kids, and nice views. Local shops nearby with Tesco express, local restaurants like creams & fish & chips etc , so it’s a nice idea to grab a bite and sit. The park does close early during winter times and has security patrols to ensure safety which is good.

nice small park, difficult to find for a new person in area. good playing area for kids. best view of thames barriers, river and south east london. better come by DLR or by bus, parking not available easily.
